Classic Horror Films

I have to admit that I love classic horror films. The horror films of the 50's, 60's and 70's were some of the best. Even in black and white these films really grabbed my attention. They just had a peculiar way of setting a mood. My favorites have to be the gothic horror films. Like the Dracula Movies that Hammer Studios made with Christopher Lee. The colors and the visuals made them stand out. Even with less than stellar effects these movies managed to have gathered quite a cult following.

You can even go back to the 1930's when universal was making their own brand of classic horror films. When Bela Legosi stole the show as Dracula. These are the movies that started it all. I just can't get into the horror movies of today. They just don't have that feel to them like the classics do.

When you watch the Vincent Price movies like the Edgar Allan Poe stories they have that erie atmosphere to them. If you have never watched any of these classic horror films then you are definitely missing out. Now most of these classics are available on dvd so that makes it even easier to watch them. The best part is that these classic horror films are very cheap. I suggest you go out and grab some and see for yourself.

hey, thanks for the comment. Ahh you mean the tv show. Yeah I loved all of the Roger Corman movies that they showed. Nothing like the classics.

Nice, these old films really are the best. They just don't make them like that anymore.
