Clean Up Your Computer (Product Reviews)

Computers start to slow down after a few weeks of heavy use,even the top systems slow down after a while,cleaning your hard drive regularly leads to speed increases and more stability. Cleaning your hard drive can be done manualy but it is much easier and less time consuming to use software that is designed for the job.

I have been lucky enough to get my hands on three hard disc cleaners 1 which is free and 2 that you need to pay for.

The three cleaners I am reviewing in this hub are Window Washer 6.0, 4Diskclean 3.3 and CCleaner 1.36.

These reviews are my own personal opinion of the products

Window Washer 6.0

As the name suggests,it cleans up after Windows and a host of other well known programs.After deciding which elements you would like to include in the "wash" process,which ranges from search history,most recently used itemsand much more single click options,the advanced "bleach" option will prevent deleted files and data from being recovered,this is a good piece of software which is easy to configure to your needs,the performance is excellent but not having a dedicated registry cleaning facility lets it down,at $29.95 you want a little more than you get from Window Washer.

4Diskclean at first glance looks dated,it has a lack of options,using the program equates to runniing predefined searches for certan types of file and deleting them, as well as emptying specific folders.this can be done just as quickly manualy and the $19.95 pricetag for this product is a joke,save your money there are cheaper and more effective cleaners out there.

Ccleaner is one of the best known cleaning tools available and there is good reason for this. Not only is the Program Free,but it includes a range of options that go far beyond the basics of system cleanup.

In addition to familiar options,empty recycle bin,delete temporary internet files and clear out Most recently used lists,Ccleaner will also remove large unnecessary memory dumps,file fragments and a range of information stored by other applications,tools are available to ensure your registry is free of obsolete or incorrect entries,and it has a very useful tool to help you take control of your start up programs.

Ccleaner is so easy to navigate that people with little or no experience can benefit from a range of advanced options.

Ccleaner is by far the best cleaner on the market today and being free is an added bonus.
