The quality of the the air you breathe has direct effects on your health. When the air surrounding you is polluted, naturally you'll receive negative consequences. However, if you take in clean and fresh air, good health effects are to be expected.

Reproductive malfunction is not the only negative health effect of all those chemicals. They can also cause irritations and allergies. There are claims that they can even cause cancers.

To think that these processes are all safe with those products is something that must be corrected.

Ammonia: can irritate the eye, lung, throat and skin
Phthalates: chemicals used in plastics for flexibility and also used synthetic fragrances to make them last longer. It had been known to change hormone level and even cause certain birth defects and damages to liver and testes.
Toluene: mixed with paints, thinners, fingernail polish and carpet adhesives. Inhaling this chemical can cause nausea , weakness, memory loss and kidney damage.
Alkylphenols: chemical found in detergents, fragrances, tires and adhesives
PBDEs or Polybrominated diphenyl ethers : used in producing electronics, furnishings and textiles. Exposure to this chemical results to hormone disruption.
Formaldehyde: can be emitted by paints, some fabric finishes and wood products. It can also be found in disinfectants and cosmetics. This chemical can irritate the eyes, can cause headache and difficulty in breathing. Sufficient evidence was also found to indicate that it can cause nasopharyngeal cancer.
The above list are just few of the possible chemicals that might be present in the air. Knowing all of them and their possible effects is not enough to keep them away from posing danger to your health and the earth. But what can you do to avoid them?
Regular and proper cleaning is the fastest and the most effective solution to this problem. Proper cleaning here refers to multiple green strategies and not just a single step.
