Cleaning A BBQ

BBQs are great and BBQ food is delicious. The only downside about a BBQ is that you have to clean the BBQ. Now it doesn't have to be that hard to clean a BBQ. This hub will teach you how to clean a BBQ properly.

How to Clean a BBQ

1. The very first thing you want to do is remove the cooking grates and put them in warm soapy water and let them soak.

2. You may have a charcoal grill. If so, remove all the charcoal and brush the inside with warm soapy water. If it's a gas grill you will want to remove the briquettes, lava rocks or metal flame shield to expose the burners.

3. All the ash and residue from around the burner has to be removed. You can use a stiff wire brush and some soapy water to scrub the inside surfaces of the grill.

4. Then you will want to brush of the briquettes or lava rocks and wash metal flame shield in warm soapy water.

5. Go back and take the grates you had soaking in the soapy water out and brush clean with wire brush.

6. Spray or use non stick cooking oil to coat the grates before replacing them back in the grill. Let the grill air dry.
