We live in a time where cleanse your body is a popular phrase.  Cleanse your body means to rid yourself of all the crap that you have been putting in their.  But, when you cleanse your body you are also helping your body to detox from all the harmful stuff that's in our environment.  We are bombarded every day with large amounts of pollution, so it is good to try and cleanse your body every so often.  It helps your liver and kidneys to function more effectively.  Cleansing your body will also make you feel a whole lot better.  You will feel fitter, you will sleep better, and you will eat better on the whole if you regularly cleanse your body.

The old saying goes "health is wealth" and how true it is. You could have millions of dollars in the bank, but if you haven't got your health you would give every penny you have to get it back. Unfortunately most people today believe in health cures. Something goes wrong with them, they start to get sick and they visit the doctor looking for a cure, or that magic pill that will cure it all. Cleanse your body can help you.

That's not what health is all about. You can help to prevent your body from becoming ill in the first place, all you need to do is cleanse your body. There are many, many things you can do to prevent illness. Some people say ‘well you never know what is coming around the corner’ and they will be right. You don't know what is going to happen to you, or when you are going to be struck down, or if you will ever get a disease are not.

I believe in positive thinking. I believe in mind over matter. I am not saying that if you go around thinking all the time you were not going to become ill, and that you won’t become ill. Wouldn’t it be nice if life was like that? Unfortunately for us it is not. Sometimes shit happens. But I really believe that if you think like a hypochondriac, if your thoughts revolve around illness and disease and death, then your mind will work against you. You will become depressed and worried and these things can have terrible consequences on your body, that is the truth.


Cleanse Your Body

So I think that the other side has to be true as well. Mind over matter. Positive thoughts bring positive gains. If you don't think that this works, the next time you are feeling low, a bit depressed, find the most positive person you know and see how fast your mood changes, see how fast you begin to feel better inside.  If you cleanse your body, your mind also works that bit better.

Also, diet and exercise play an enormous role in your well being. I know another cliché is coming up but "you are what you eat" is a truth nonetheless. If you are chugging down hamburgers from McDonald's followed by bottles of Coke then you are turning your body into a small time bomb, clicking away silently until one day it will go off with a bang. On the other hand, if you fill yourself with nature's goodness, plenty of water, fresh fruit and vegetables, you are giving yourself a better chance of living a healthy life. Also if you go out and exercise, I'm not talking about running marathons or entering into grueling multi discipline events, all in talking about is walking, light exercise regularly. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that these things are going to benefit you over the course of your life.

Every now and then you need to spring clean yourself. Get rid of all those nasty toxins that are floating around in your system, clogging around your body like the unwanted squatters.

You can cleanse your body in a few ways. The one that I would always recommend to people would have to be through nutrition, through what you are eating. This is an ongoing detoxification process that lasts you for your life. But we will stick to the quick fix for now.

There are many methods of detox to help you cleanse your body. I have written in other hubs about foot de colon tox and my views are clearly enough stated there about what I think about that. Other types of body cleanse are the colon cleanse, Master cleanse, Ionic cleanse, parasite cleansing, to name but a few.

I am going to do a couple of hubs on colon cleansing in future. My thought on colon cleanse at the moment are that there may be something to it from a cleansing point of view, as opposed to detox. Your colon is basically your sewer system. And every sewer system can get blocked, so if this system was in your home you would have to clear the blockages very quickly or you would have nasty consequences. I think colonic irrigation is a similar sort of thing you clear your blocked drains with warm water instead of drain cleaning rods. But if it helps to cleanse your body, then it might be good.

Another way to cleanse your body, the ionic foot detox, or detox foot spa in other hubs. You will find several detailed hubs in the subject of foot detox, but I will repeat here again that I am not too sure whether this method will clean your body of toxins. But again will I go back to positive thinking, so if it gives you a positive reaction then it's working for you to a degree.

I have a personal favourite, that I would recommend for you to cleanse your body. I fast for a full 24 hours before I start to detox. This is always going to be part of cleansing my body. I drink plenty of water to try to flush out as much gunge from my stomach and intestinal area as possible. Then for the next day I would normally go on the fruit diet. This involves eating plenty of fruit and vegetables and I drink plenty of juice. Here's my concoction. It is known as the blood cleanse. You take two glasses of orange juice, two glasses of grape juice couple of tablespoons of honey and four lemons. A couple of shots of wheatgrass from your local health food store is then added, make sure you are close to your bathroom. What this does is cleanse is your blood. I don't think it's going to remove any heavy metals or start detoxifying your organs but it does detox you this extent because you feel a little bit worse before you feel better. This is because your liver and organs are working on the toxins before they removed. I hope that you were able to get some helpful information out of this cleanse your body hub.

Jack you seem like an interesting man. I myself have discovered the beneifts of eating a diet almost void of process and high on grown in soil. Many people complain of problems that I know are related to their bodies not getting the proper nutrition. I am thankful that I grew up with parents that gave me ample fresh foods and I am reaping the rewards today. I feel so sad for the children that grow up in homes that have no idea their food is killing them.
