ClearLight acne treatment is a very recent technology being developed and used in treatment of acne and other skin disorders. It is still in its early stages. Although it's still a novice it is gaining popularity because it is one of the safest methods of acne treatment, free of any side effects and is drug free.
ClearLightdoes not demand so much time and efforts from the patient. It offers quick 15 minutes treatment sessions spread out in four to eight weeks. In these sessions, the focus is in killing the bacteria within the skin that causes swelling, redness and infection. The treatment kills the bacteria through photo destruction.
The treatment uses intensified light directed to the affected area. This method does not affect or damage the surrounding skin unlike topical and chemical based medications wherein areas without acne can be affected and damaged.

Disadvantages of Clearlight Treatment
At first look these benefits are really tempting to avail of right away, but before you do anything else here are a few things that you got to ponder.
ClearLight is only a treatment for moderate inflammatory acne and mild to moderate acne blemishes. If you have a severe case of acne this is not for you. Professional skin doctors have to be consulted for severe cases of acne. By this alone ClearLight is quite limited in its scope of treatment.
It promises to kill bacteria within the skin. Well, yes it does kill bacteria, but bacteria lives literally on peoples' skin and in the environment. You can not eradicate the presence of bacteria. Furthermore, bacteria is not the only factor affecting the appearance of acne. How can you kill stress that causes acne? How can you treats with light something that is coming from hormonal imbalances or the lack of nutrition?
Although clearlight is effective in clearing acne and the treatment sessions are quick and does not demand so much from the patient, the effects are temporary. It promises no future break outs, but there is no guarantee there won't be any break outs because acne is triggered not just by bacteria, but also by hormonal fluctuations, stress, poor nutrition and poor hygiene.
There is a great possibility of break outs in the future after treatment, which would make this treatment method very expensive indeed. It would be very expensive because you need to go back to the treatment program again. Bacterial attacks and presence cannot be eradicated from our environment. It would be better to work on building the body's resistance against sickness and disease.
But then again, if you only have a mild to moderate acne problems or that your skin is not too sensitive then Clearlightcan be of help to you.
