ClickBank Scam
77Do You Know what a ClickBank scam is? You know those flashed up pages with huge font sizes and extravagant claims like "Order In The Next 18 Seconds Or The Planet Shall Explode!" Those are the pages that are often associated with scams online.
In 2006 I decided to do some research on ClickBank - the platform that is often criticised for endorsing these websites. It turns out that not all of these pages are scams. In fact, ClickBank is quite a good selling platform that is too often abused.
To associate websites scams with ClickBank is the same as associating a negative attitude to a specific group of people just because 2-3% of those people have a bad reputation.
In fact a number of these 'splash pages' are not even associated with ClickBank at all. However a number of websites out there are aiming to scam us browsers - to take our cash and run.
How To Secure Yourself
There is a clause in ClickBank's policies that most consumers are not aware of - but it is a crucial piece of knowledge:
Sellers using ClickBank are obligated to offer customers a 2-month full-refund guarantee.
Those merchants that are out to scam others are not concerned about this clause, knowing that most customers will not bother requesting a refund even if the product is absolute junk that is misrepresented on their website.
The most important thing for us as consumers is to keep in mind that when purchasing a product from a "Order Now" link that has clickbank.com in the URL we are ALWAYS eligible for a 2-month guarantee. I recommend using it if the product does not live up to what the seller has promised it to be. I've purchased e-books that were less than 2,000 words in length for over $80 before - where the seller promoted them claiming that the package comes with videos, free software, e-books etc. but the entire package was a hopeless single 2,000 word e-book - half of which didn't even make sense.
If this happens - just request a refund. Once we feel the seller has misrepresented the product on their website and we believe it's a scam then ClickBank encourages us to contact them for a full refund. It's in their power to offer that, so it's worthwhile taking them up on the offer.
The ClickBank Product I Created
I created a ClickBank product last month called Hub Profits. You'll see that the page comes across as a commercial concept, but not too extravagant either. I didn't add huge red fonts all over the place, flashing buttons, nor pop-up javascripts. It's simple, to the point. In fact ClickBank allows a website to be as diverse as the designer wishes to make it. But be matter how the product presents itself remember to Keep Your Rights In Mind.
If it turns out to be a ClickBank scam just request a refund. Safer shopping is better than "guessing" whether the purchase will be worth it or not. If the seller has made a claim and put their word on it - then the refund guarantee is also on that claim.

People that buy into the hype of marketing products on clickbank expect to be blown away or show some really simple secret that will make them a ton of money so they can just head off to the beach. When they realize the product requires them to do actual work it frustrates them. Or they may not be blown away. Most ClickBank information products are not very well conceived and do not contain useful real world information. The handful that do may be hard to find because of the slick intro hype. People get taken in by the sales page. They expect huge value for next to nothing. Information is worth buying if it's good. I buy from ClickBank vendors, and I've returned products too. I mostly buy software, not information products.
Thanks for the info!
Evertime i sell something they take the money back. Im going to check farther into it.
