Climate Change Due To Global Warming
67Global warming today is itself a big issue and more so because of the climate changes which are occurring due to global warming. We have now started to experience summers that are getting hotter by the year and winters that are chillier than of previous year. The chances of floods are increasing and the bad effects are becoming inevitable day by day due to this. So it is better the sooner we get to know about this and try to control as much as is possible for us to control. Otherwise in the very near future we might all have to witness circumstances which would make it impossible for us to live in this beautiful planet of ours.
The basic fear is from the glaciers melting down which will adversely affect the temperature and weather changes of the planet. Due to global warming, and that too at this rate, already the polar ice caps and glaciers in the frozen areas are melting. This is leading to rise of the sea level and hence drastic temperature fluctuations which would have been unthinkable even 20 years back. Now people understand what is going to happen in the future and have somewhat begun to care for reducing global warming.
The extent of damage caused to our frozen areas can be best described by the skiers of Europe. Every single year more and more glaciers are falling off from the sides of the mountains like the Alps. This is loosening up the mountains and hence they are falling apart piece by piece chunk by chunk. Instead of rising number of skiers the number of visitors to see the mountains fall apart is increasing which is raising concerns for the future of skiing. If the temperature continues to rise like this then in about a few years time possibly all glaciers around the world will be melting down and then with the lack of snow that the world will face skiing will not remain as a fairly cheap and popular a sport as it is in current times.
Snow melting may be a concern not affecting all humans at an immediate level but heat waves and floods are. Floods have hit the blue planet like never before. US, Asia, Europe and many other parts of the world have been affected heavily in current times due to this rise of water level leading to floods. Even the average temperature all over the world has risen alarmingly over a span of only three to four years. High heat waves strike every year killing off many people and that too in places like the western parts of Europe which have hardly ever encountered such high temperatures and certainly not for a duration of ten to fifteen days! The temperature fluctuations and coming of snow storms and rains before their allotted months hamper agriculture and industry to a large extent.
It is evident that every single human being will now face adverse climates in the near future, say a few years and that it is now high time for all of us to be aware of these consequences and take controlling measures as fast and as effectively as possible.
