Climbing The Ladder Of Financial Success
67Get The Success You Need
In these days and times, it's very important that we understand what it takes to be successful in financial situations. Knowing what steps that are needed helps to quicken the motion of elevating oneself up from where you presently stand financially. Below are some tips to help you in your quest for financial freedom...
- Self-Organizational Order -- Having order is the first step towards experiencing financial freedom. Most people choose to skip over this important step. It's a shame when you try to do the other steps mentioned later in this article and neglects this one. This step is all about putting things in order. Letting all things be in their specific places. Letting each part of your financial picture have its own time. Resolve to perform what you can! Perform without fail what you resolve. Create goals for yourself that you know that you can accomplish. However, don't set them in such a way as to where you can't possibly attain them. It's one thing to set your goals high. It's another thing to set an unrealistic goal.
- Enthusiasm - This second step will help you when you are experiencing tough times. It's a step that will carry you through tough calls to negotiate bills, finding extra money when you need it the most, and when you handle your everyday task of experiencing the freedom you always looked forward to. Make a serious and holy resolve that you will double the amount of enthusiasm that you have been putting into your, financial picture, work, and into your personal life. To become enthusiastic, one must act enthusiastic in everything that you do.
- Think In Other People's Terms - Taking a moment to put yourself in the other person's shoes is the best way to keep yourself from putting your foot in your mouth. This technique will also have others usher you in to ways you may have never thought of. For instance, say a bill collector calls your home and asks if you are ready to pay on your bill. By putting yourself in that person's shoes, you can than understand why he's calling. It's not personal to the person who called you, just only for business. When you have seen from the other person's position, only then can you realize a win-win situation to solve the debt.
- Ask Questions - Asking questions is the best way to eliminate any doubt you may have about anything. For instance, by not asking for directions to an unknown portion of the city in which you live in, you may not follow the right path and end up lost. By asking questions about your financial situation, you are laying to rest anything that may cloud your judgment or reasoning.
- Tackling Key Issues -- The main problem in getting everything straight with your financial situation is to find the basic problems that have been holding you back and solving them. There isn't anyone I know of who can make it successfully through struggles without first realizing what is it that's holding them back. The key to solving mistakes is to find the root of the problem and sticking to unraveling the twist that holds the predicament in place.
- Listening To The Whole Story - So many people jump to conclusions when it isn't necessary. Show the other person you are sincerely interested in what he or she is saying. Give him all the eager attention and appreciation that he craves and is so hungry for, but seldom gets. This makes it easier for you to accomplish what you set off to do. For instance, how are you going to pay a bill if you don't know where to send the bill? If you interrupted the person who is trying to help you, then that person may become irritated and not give you the full information you need. It pays to listen first, and then respond back.
- Walk With Confidence - Confidence is the one thing that separates what will happen and what won't. For instance, not having confidence will cause you to look as though you're ignorant to the person you're speaking with. This may cause you to possibly lose out on certain things. Having confidence is having the feeling that no matter what encounters you may face, knowing that things will work out if you put in quality time to ensure success.
- Get To Know People - Everyone has heard the old saying, "Your first impression is your last." Get a clear impression of the name of the person you're dealing business with. Form the habit of taking a mental picture of the name. Carry a pen and pad to jot down this information if you're prone to forgetting. Repetition: Repeat the name immediately and often. You can remember almost anything if you repeat it often enough. Association: Associate the person's name with their appearance or business.
- Show Appreciation -- Everyone likes to feel important, even bill collectors! People are hungry for praise and starving for honest appreciation. Show that you believe in them and expect bigger things of them. If your interest is sincere, there is nothing they appreciate more. This will help you for when someone reaches above and beyond what they normally do for other people.
- Be Happy -- If you want to be welcome everywhere, give every living soul you meet an honest-to-goodness smile, from down deep inside, even your own wife and family and see how better YOU feel and look. This will carry through to your other portions of life, such as handling financial situations. Having a joyous spirit will help your personal wellbeing to blossom when the rest of your life may be in shambles.
- Take Action -- Before you talk or meet with anyone having to deal with monetary issues, have a talk with yourself first. Tell yourself that despite what you are going through, you are going to make it no matter what! For instance, if you are going to a job interview and is nervous about the outcome, tell yourself that "This is going to be the best interview I ever had." You never know what's in a man's mind by what he says." Be willing to accept objections and find a way to overcome them.
Each of these 11 steps to success should be written on a 3x5 card that you could easily carry with you in your daily affairs. Start your system with step number one. Carry that card with you for one week. Everyday take the card out of your pocket to read. And I mean really read it! Read the card as many times as you can during the day while you are watching the kids, eating lunch, reading, whatever. It will reinforce the ideas outlined in the 11 steps.
Do this each week with each one of your cards. At the end of the 11-week program, start the process all over again. And if you think that you ever stop the process, this is when your forward motion past financial burdens will also stop. Once you've formed the habit of reading your cards everyday it will become as automatic as getting dressed in the morning. Remember, "Knowledge is power. Power is success. Success is achieving goals to get what you want."PrintShare it! — Rate it: up down flag this hub
