How to treat clipper burn.
- Dab or mist the area with peroxide
- Apply a healing salve to the affected area
- Prevent clipper burn
Ask your groomer to use a vacuum set type clipper or attachable combs. Let your groomer know you think your dog had a clipper burn. Your dog may be very sensitive to being groomed.
Remember, clipper burn usually does not show for some hours after being groomed. Clipper burn usually is not a serious condition.
