Coffee Love: 100 Reasons to Drink Coffee
79People all over the world have always loved coffee. Way before brewed coffee, espresso coffee, gourmet coffee or cappuccino became a status quo, coffee machines all over the world have been churning and churning for coffee lovers worldwide. Instant coffee, those of the ready-to-drink, 3-in-1 variety, is now a major player in all grocery stores and supermarkets.
There are a lot of coffee lovers out there and in fact it has created, supported and sustained an industry not known to generations past. If there is any one term to call this generation, it’s the “coffee shop generation”. Everything happens in a coffee shop, you see. Business deals, study groups, small group discussion of religious groups, celebrations, and I am sure that there have been many proposals and breakups done in many a coffee shop.
Many times, having coffee is not about the drink, it’s about the company you are with at the moment. My good friend from the office and I have created our very own “coffee place” at work. It is just a tiny little spot near the pantry of our office, with a small table and two old wicker chairs. We’d bring our respective coffees (3-in-1 most probably) and talk about things and de-stress, and bask in friendship’s warmth. Just goes to show that coffee is not just about the drink, it’s about the experience; of course it helps if it tastes good, too. ;-)

Haha, thank you, Dohn! I like Maxwell House, too, though I like the classic roast better. I will try that Columbian Supreme this weekend. My personal favorite is the UCC Class One. A big bottle is about $10, while a cup in the shop will cost about $6. So I have my gourmet coffee every morning and every night, and whenever I feel like it. :)
Awesome! This has a lot of great info :) I agree with every reason here...
Chuggin McCoffee, you can add a thousand more! :)
I love coffee. Used to drink it (instant only, brewed too expensive) three times a day! I'll add another reason - to stay awake during an overnight cramming session for the next morning's report =).
You are so right, Emievil! Am having one now trying to compose another hub, but the forum section is again getting most of my attention. :)
I used to have almost 7 cups a day in college. Now I am milder, at about 5. :)
I was going through the list again and I had to laugh at number 51. Those were the days I was still working in Makati and we used to have marathon coffee sessions in Starbucks just to get those stickers! LOL Unfortunately (or fortunately), we don't have Starbucks here so my wallet is saved from having to shell out almost P2,000 (or even more) for the 20 or so cups of coffee needed to fill those stickers =).
I know! Those guys really know how to work it, right? Good thing I like white chocolate mocha. :)
Me, I never once completed those stickers!
You are true on each reason....wow!!!!!
Thanks.
Haha! Thanks!
Thanks for ideas you shared..
Wonderful article!!!
Thank you.
Thanks Egiftscreation and Gift Experts. Nice meeting the two of you - or is there only one of you but with two personas? :)See you around!
I am a coffee grower in Papua New Guinea. We grow organic coffee just to sell for some cash. We drink it becuase it is a drink. It is nice to read the reasons why people drink coffee. I still plant coffee, Keep drink coffee!!!!
This is a bomb hehehe. Well-crafted hub nyahahaha, but studies also shows that coffee add little libido to coffee drinkers, nyhahahaha :)...
Jak2009, I sure would love to taste Papua New Guinea coffee :)
GeneralHowitzer, that's another reason to drink coffee! ;-)
I love coffee...I don't need any reasons to enjoy a cup or two :)
Very good point! :)
I like No. 23. "To help you fall asleep." Hah. That's when you know you need coffee a little too much.
But I've tried it...
Haha...I always drink coffee before going to sleep. :)

One of my favorite things to do (like Amelie moment) is to open up a new can of coffee (my old stand-by is Maxwell House Columbian Supreme) when I rip off the foiled lid which makes that "hiss!" sound. The first whiff is the best. Safe to say that I'm an addict and probably will be for a long time to come...I can't function without it!
I read every single line and thought it hilarious! Great idea...Wish I thought of it first!
