Coffee Vending Machine
48Cafe! Oh yea! Please forgive my silliness, but I guess I'm a little over-caffeinated today. Who can blame me? I am excited because perhaps, one of the greatest niches in the vending industry is cornered by the coffee vending machine. And I get to write about it! The coffee vending machine market offers diverse choices for someone thinking about getting into vending or adding a niche. It's a great little market with a lot of flavor -- please pardon the pun. The easiest way to get into vending coffee (if you've got enough money to invest -- say a couple thousand) is to look for a coffee vending route opportunity. You can also start smaller. Coffee vending has something for every budget.
If you love java, getting into coffee vending may make your cup overflow.
Coffee vending is a great market. Almost everybody drinks coffee! A
note of caution -- starting a business equals risk. Think of the
situation as you wagering your investment money against your
competition. You could say the vending machine business is like a game
of skill that includes the element of luck. The more skillful work you
put into it -- the more you stick to it -- the more luck you are going
to have. Luck rewards work and persistence -- which is why you also
need to be sure you can be in charge of yourself. Do you trust
yourself to get up early and push until all your clients are serviced?
If your answer is yes, let's get to vending! (It's okay if you have to
ask your spouse to nudge you out of bed. You're just like me!)
Like
I said, almost everybody drinks coffee. It is the world's old standby
pick-me-up. This market will not just evaporate -- especially as
consumers seek an alternative to venti
mocha lattes, and the like. Running a coffee vending machine (or a
few) in a choice location (or several) will enable you to tap into the
ever-present coffee market and put a little money in your pocket.
Don't
look upon this as hype and fluff. Being in charge of yourself is hard,
but quite rewarding for the person willing to make a plan and commit to
getting up every morning laser-focused on executing it.
If that
sounds like you, then you may be asking how cheaply can you get into
the coffee vending machine business. There are a number of coffee vending machine types available
-- but let's assume you are not attempting to specifically get into the
coffee service niche at this time. That niche involves acquiring
business clients and setting up one-cup coffee machines in their break
rooms. The problem here is it is an involved process -- with a lot of
initial outlay -- for the beginner. You can find situations where you
can buy into an existing coffee service route -- and if you find such
an opportunity that you can afford, then I encourage you to go for it
and swing for the fence!
Alas, coffee vending machines do not run cheap. You need a few thousand dollars for just one machine. If you can afford this, take note of the following. When you place your order for your machine, be
sure to ask if your dealer already has placement locations available.
This can help you get a good head start!
Such a head start never hurts when we are in business for ourselves, and it definitely can't hurt in the coffee business!
