Pumpkin Coffin Cake Recipe
For your cake you will need.
1. 3/4 Cup Margarine at room temperature.
2. 1 1/2 Cups of Sugar.
3. 1 1/2 Cups canned Pumpkin.
4. 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract.
5. 3 Cups All Purpose Flour.
6. 2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon.
7. 1 Teaspoon Each Baking Powder and Baking Soda.
8. 1 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg.
9. 1 Teaspoon Salt.
10. 1 Teaspoom Ground Ginger.
11. 1 Teaspoon Ground Cloves.
12. 1 Cup Buttermilk.
13. 4 Large Eggs.
Mix all your cake ingredients together very well in a mixing bowl with a hand electric mixer.
Line a 13X9 inch baking pan with waxed paper and grease your wax paper with spray vegetable cooking spray. bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
After your cake is cool cut it into the coffin shape and cut into two layers.
You can place your coffin cake on a large serving tray and make your dirt out of crushed Oreo cookies. Spread your dirt out and then place your coffin on top of the dirt. Add gummy worms crawling around for a great effect.
