Coins Every Collector Would Love To Have In Their Collection
67I saw this request by Ryan Hupfer and for some reason, I felt it was directed at me. I have made other coin hubs. Here are a couple of them:
History of coins-Half dollars
History of coins-Silver dollars
I have other one's too.
I love collecting coins. I would love to have any of the following coins in my collection. If you have one and would like to donate, I would gladly accept.

1933 St. Gaudens $20 Gold piece
In 1933 President Franklin Roosevelt took the United States off the world gold standard. It was illegal for citizens to own any 1933 gold coins. Several of these coins were secreted out and King Farouk of Egypt had one. That coin was confiscated by the secret service and through a lawsuit it went up for auction. On July 30th of 2002 that coin sold for $7,590,020.
In 2004 10 more of these 1933 coins were found and immediately seized by the United States secret service. Those coins are currently in Ft. Knox.

1787 Brasher Doubloon
Here are some very rare United States coins. The one pictured is very nice shape.
In January of 2005 one of these very rare coins sold for a mere $2,990,000.
Ah, matey I need a doubloon for me collection; would you happen to have one you could spare?
1913 Liberty Nickel
My mouth waters when I see this picture. The five nickels showing are the only 1913 Liberty or "V" nickels known to exist.
In 1913 the Buffalo nickel was put into production. No liberty nickels were supposed to be minted. An employee secreted out these and the last sale of one brought almost $3,000,000. That sale was in 2003.
Many More
There are many, many more that I would love to have, but these are the main ones.
If you happen to have a very nice 1916 Mercury dime or a 1955 Double die Wheat penny, I would love to have those too.
Keep searching those coins, you may find that rare one.
Coin collecting can be quite fun and also profitable. It is also a great hobby to get children interested in.
Hope this hub got your mouth watering as much as it did mine. Well gotta go, need to check my change.

I don't have any of the coins you show here, Froggy, but I've got about 20 rolls of Wheat Ear pennies and a few nickles, dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollar coins. I'd be willing to sell them all for about $1 billion. I'll keep an eye out to see if I find any doubloons in my change, If I do, I'll send you a contribution.
