Cold Indian Salad Recipe in six easy steps

Arrived late at home from work and have no patience to cook ? Tired of the same routines made of basic ingredients and lots of time round the oven? This year I discovered how to make a simple yet effective salad that goes well year round and will only take you 15 minutes of your precious time.

This salad requires 10 ingredients that you will easily find at any local store :

-one shredded cooked chicken

-one onion

-two apples Reineta ( if you can`t find these you can go with ordinary apples, just make sure they are not too sweet)

-3 lemons to make lemon juice

-one natural yoghurt

-one coffee spoon of curry powder

-two tablespoon of light mayonnaise

-one fresh tomato

-lettuce leaf (quantity up to you)

-salt ( quantity uo to you)

Step One
: Cut the onion into very thin slices

Step Two: Peel and cut the apple into cubes and cover them with lemon juice

Step Three: Mix the onion and apple with shredded chicken and throw in a salad bowl

Step Four: Beat slightly with the natural yoghurt mayonnaise.

Step Five: Add the curry and season with salt.

Step Six : Get everything on the salad and decorate with slices of tomato and leaf lettuce.

This salad is best served in a large plate and must be kept cold f it`s not fully consumed at the moment it is made. Usually I only eat half of it as dinner and save the other for the next day as the main dish or as a good complement for the main dish at lunch as I need more calories for my afternoon running. It pair very nice with white wine (Sauvignon Blanc for example) or green whine- a famous young wine in Portugal made of not-quite-ripe grapes, that must be served very cold.
