Collectible Vintage Star Wars Action Figures

It would be hard to imagine that even the residents of the most unexplored remotest areas of our planet have not heard of Star Wars. There is no doubt in my mind that the Zen like wisdom of Jedi master ’Yoda’, and tales of epic intergalactic space battles fought between the all corrupting ‘dark side’ and the mysterious ‘force’ have punctured through dense sticky forests to reach even the most isolated of tribes.

Are you a Star Wars fan or a Star Wars geek? Both are essentially the same thing except that the Star Wars geeks love of Star Wars goes far beyond the reach of just enjoying a good movie. Are you a Star Wars geek? Are you:

  • Able to recite the entire back story of every creature and character that has ever had even a single second of screen time.
  • Are able to speak fluently at least one complete alien language from within the Star Wars universe.
  • Offended when somebody calls you a ‘Trekkie.’
  • A regular user of Star Wars quotes as a part of your daily life.
  • Planning for your retirement by purchasing and hording rare Star Wars collectibles.

If you can answer yes to just one of the above (or even if you’re just interested) then read on to learn a little bit more about the kinds of Star Wars collectibles that are currently trading hands between collectors, and the sorts of prices that a rare Star Wars collectible can command.

Collectible Vintage Star Wars Action Figures - The Gamorrean Guard Action Figure

Feeling the pinch of the credit crunch, but still feeling the urge to increase your Star Wars collection? No problem. Star Wars collectibles not only come in every shape and size imaginable, but with just a little searching it is not difficult to rummage out something of interest to suit every budget. One of my own personal favourite Star Wars action figures as a child had to be the ‘Gamorrean Guard’ a large green pig-like creature. The Gamorrean Guards are a moronic species often employed as bodyguards, notably serving as bodyguards for the infamous ‘Jabba the Hut.’

Due to the fact that this Gamorrean guard action figure lacks all packaging and accessories making it far less collectable it can be snapped up for the bargain bucket price of just £2.72.

Me too, think most of mine are still up in my parents loft, hopefully they'll be worth a fortune one day, but probably not, they were all well and truely played with!
