Colloidal Silver: The Blue Man
81The Blue Man Makes It Big
Prior to Paul's appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, little was known about The Man Who Turned Blue. Oh, my wife and I knew about him. He'd recently moved to Madera, California, from Oregon where people were driving him nuts by staring and pointing and commenting. According to an article in our local Colorado newspaper, he was hoping Madera would be a little more easygoing about the whole thing.
We also understood his plight, since I have personally experienced a much milder form of colloidal silver argyria than Paul's version. From mid-1995 to mid-1997, having learned that silver has long been known to kill more than 625 nasty bacteria and viruses, I drank anywhere from 2 ounces to 2 pints of the stuff on a given day. And I'm glad I did.
Until that time (1995) I'd had a lifetime vulnerability to every common cold, nasty flu, or sinus infection within three counties. To some readers, that may not sound like so much until you realize that these bouts of minor to moderate illness did not just come and go. Some of them hung on for as long as nine consecutive months without a break.
Colloidal silver put a halt to that nasty cycle.
So, is the risk of turning blue worth it? Yes. If I had to turn as blue as Paul to feel as good as I do in recent years, I would do it. Oh, even at my much less noticeable level of blueness, there are interesting consequences. Not health consequences. Social consequences. People have often asked me why I looked blue. I have a standard set of answers for them:
#1: "Oh, the answer is really simple. My Grandaddy was a Smurf!"
#2: "I'm one of the original founders of the Blue Man Group."
#3: "You've heard of zombies? Well...I'm one of the Living Dead!"
And if that doesn't take care of it, I can still outwork most twenty year old men and figure my odds of being the last man standing in a streetfight are considerably better than they were forty years ago. So there.

Fortunately, There Is A Step Beyond Colloidal Silver
Paul still swears by colloidal silver and takes it regularly, never mind what Dr. Oz or any other self-styled authority may or may not recommend. I'm with Paul...but need to mention several key differences between us.
For one, I never did produce my own, figuring my quality control abilities could not possibly match those of a commercial manufacturing lab. For another, although I used the stuff off and on for the better part of three years, that use was intermittent and did stop in 1997 because money was getting tight--and I still didn't trust myself to whip up a batch on my own.
Thirdly, we found a better product. In November of late 2005, Pam (my wife) was dying. She'd had a horrible flu-like infection that no amount of antibiotics could quite kick. Her doctor still did not realize just how sick she was, although he did prescribe massive doses of Zithromax. Yet even with that, the "bug" was clearly mutating as it went.
We agreed that the hospital was not an option. Hospitals kill people.
In desperation, searching the Internet for an answer...I found it. A company called ZPTech offered a product called Aquasilver. Their website described is a great technological leap beyond colloidal silver, something they called monatomic silver.
The picture in my head goes like this: If each tiny colloidal silver particle was the size of a basketball, then a monatomic silver particle might be the size of a BB. Or something like that.
We Save Pam's Life With Monatomic Silver
It Was A Terribly Close Call
ZPTech's product is not cheap. I ordered ten eight-ounce bottles to get the maximum discount and included a comment to the company to please ship ASAP, as my wife's life was on the line.
The day the Aquasilver arrived via UPS, Pam was extremely close to passing from this world. Seldom conscious, and then barely so, she could hardly breathe for the congestion filling her lungs. With great care, I mixed a batch per the directions (one small bottle in a gallon of distilled water) and began getting four ounces of the mixture down her every hour.
Within 2 hours, her breathing was noticeably easier.
Within 24 hours, I knew she would live.
Within 7 days, she was symptom free.
From that time forward, we have always had some of the monatomic silver on hand. It does not always "cure" all by itself; Pam's doctor has needed to add Zithromax to her regimen several times during the past 3 years. Fortunately, it does not turn people blue, either. My "blueness" has never increased, and Pam has never been blue at all...except for the emotional kind of blue, which is another topic.
Final note: This Hub was a scary one to write in that ZPTech is a small company. If thousands of readers suddenly flooded them with orders for Aquasilver, they might run out just when we needed a new batch. But I felt that what I've said here needed to be said so....
Thanks for reading,

I have taken colloidal silver and felt it was effective. Didn't know about Aquasilver, sounds like a very impressive product.
Glad your wife is doing better!
Shirley :)
Thanks for the commnts. Zsuzsy, I'm glad the emotion came through in print The Hub definitely was written "with feeling".
Shirely, you are definitely right about Aquasilver. Running out would, for us, be about as scary as having the roof of our house blown off by a tornado. I've only been ill once since we started using it, and that was after I'd gotten overconfident and had NOT used it for several weeks.
My wife's pain is 24/7 and has been for many years, so "feeling better" is a relative term for her--but she appreciated your good wishes; thanks.

Hey Ghost,
That's quite a testimonial.
Send a big hug to Pam for me OK?
Hey to you too, H-D!
Pam got her big hug--AIR hug, since that's the only kind she can tolerate without increased pain, but still. Also, I carry 8 ounces of the monatomic silver with me wherever I go, if the plan is to be away from home for more than an hour or two. Occasionally I'll forget to reload the bottle that goes into my work lunchbox. When that happens, it's always "keep my fingers crossed" time until I get home from that particular shift...:D
Its sounds great.. Thanks for the excellent Hub and pertinent info so far..
Great posting!
Wow! My husband and I have been using colloidal silver for decades, and we make our own. It's gotten rid of all sorts of stuff - including the need for a root canal. There is a company in Canada called SOTA Instruments that sells silver-water makers and I swear by them. I've been making it for years. I will definitely look into the Aquasilver though. Thanks for the info - and prayers to Pam.
Thanks for the info on SOTA; did not know about them. Likewise, Pam and I both thank you for the prayers.
Angie, if you're back by this way and note that your Comments no longer show, I deleted them because of the rule that "Comments are not for promoting your hubs or other sites", and when I clicked on your name, it took me directly to a silver-for-sale site.
I do believe your heart is in the right place and appreciate the fact that you took the time to write.
Hi Ghost. sorry about that. did not know the rules of the blog here. yeah. i am not trying to promote any one brand. funny how they have a url box....
i just wanted to share the research with you. it is really compelling and interesting to read about the size of the particles and the way they react.also the difference between ionic and colloidal and the fact that if they are not made correctly they will turn you blue.
Thanks for checking back, Angie. I didn't believe for a second you were trying to break any rules. The URL box can be confusing, all right. As I understand it, the URL is "cool" if it looks like you're a disinterested third party who simply found the destination to be of general value...but "uncool" if said destination gives the impression you might be commercially connected.
You have it exactly right that the stuff needs to be made correctly unless you're already a chamelion...or a member of the Blue Man Group, in which case....
I had a course of colloidal silver this year, prescribed by my Naturopath, as part of a comprehensive program to restore my immune function. I had a lab for "killer cells". THe normal range is something like 8 to 150. I have deduced "normal range" is usually a far cry from optimal range. Anyway, my level was 7! I did 1 gallon of CS in 3 days, then another gallon over 2 weeks. I had the test repeated this week and should get results next week...
When it comes to killer cells specifically, you might also consider (and/or consult with your Naturopath, since there appears to be a high trust level there) about colostrum based immune system boosters. I sold one for years (no longer a distributor for it) called BioMune that combined colostrum with astragalus, and they had many pages of documented improvements for people in your situation or even (in a few cases) worse.
Colostrum is the first "stuff" the babies get when suckling a mammalian mother. It's not really "milk" as we think of it, since those first days are much more turbo-loaded with "triggers" that tell your immune system to wake up and get to work. BioMune colostrum came from organically fed cows, and while my Dad's ranch wasn't "organic", we did know about colostrum--in fact, we saved quarts of it every year, kept in the freezer and thawed for emergency use any time a calf was in big trouble (cow died or did not produce milk or whatever). The stuff works!
Astragalus is a Chinese herb that is also reportedly beneficial to the immune system.
I trusted BioMune only because I'd seen the impressive test results but know that these days you can find colostrum based immune system boosters in almost any health food store.
Not to doubt your Naturopath, who without question has more years of study of these topics than I do, but I'm slightly puzzled in one regard: The CS, as I understand it, does kill the bad stuff...and very effectively. But for long a long term wake up call to the immune system, the booster(s) would also be important. However, you did say the CS was part of a comprehensive program, so perhaps colostrum and/or astragalus have already been incorporated.
If not, though, I thought it worth a mention.
Thanks for the info. I’m always reading and learning. Sometimes I drive myself crazy.
I definitely felt overwhelmed looking for answers before my Naturopath. I started out 3 ½ years ago reading and learning on my own about detoxifying my body. Then I started 3 years ago with a chiropractor. That was the beginning of the process to get off 11 prescriptions and over the counter meds, and 3 supplements, including B12 shots. I felt I was headed toward an auto-immune diagnosis if I did not make a change from Western Medicine. This was all pretty controversial since I was active duty military, expected to be seen within our system. Not to mention the care was 100% free to me. I started seeing my Naturopath when I retired in Dec 08. He has been practicing for 40 years and is also an herbalist, homeopath and nutritionist. I feel very fortunate.
I have been taking 2 dozen or more different natural supplements for the past 3 years, including whole foods supplements by Standard Process as well as supplements by Systemic Formulas. I am now completely off prescription and OTC meds. I’m always on thyroid support. I’m on 2 Beaumont Bio-Med homeopathic sprays. I’m also on a special thymus/immune booster developed by a physician who developed it for his cancer. I also have Indian Herb from McDaniel Life-Line.
Sounds like you've got things on track. One extra benefit: It reminded me to go pour myself some of the montatomic silver. Spent much of the day shopping for essentials, and with the piggy flu running around (hilarious that the pork industry hates it being called swine flu), 4 ounces of preventive silver-water might be worth a fair amount....
I've heard about silver but didn't know much about it. Now I know more! Thanks! Say hi to Pam for me.
Habee, thanks for the comment. Living as "away from people" as we now do, I don't have to slug down as much of the silver as I used to ingest on a daily basis, but most certainly do keep a bottle ready and close at hand.
Will pass on your "Hi" to Pam in the a.m. since she's sleeping now....
That's all completely new to me - I've never heard of silver nor people turning blue! I'm learning something new everyday via your hubs! I read that with baited breath - what an amazing story! And that the aquasilver brought Pam round at nearly the last minute...incredible!
I have to say though that I couldn't see your blue tinge - if there is one it's very light. Your grandad was a smurf! Always good to have that answer up your sleeve!
Thanks, Apricot. Not everyone can see my blue tinge, and it's not the same level of "blueness" every day, either. It's less noticeable when I'm well rested, and there's more than a teensy bit of question in my mind as to whether or not colloidal silver has anything whatsoever to do with it.
However, enough people do notice--and ask about it--that it's never a surprise any more when it happens. Once in a while, there's a pesky enough do gooder who's concerned about my health...that I get downright "mean" to back them off. How? I simply state, with a whole lot of firmness,
"My health is fine; I'll outlive your grandkids!"
If nothing else has done the trick, that shuts 'em up. They may never talk to me again, but (as Martha Stewart would say), that's a GOOD thing.
