Super Glue for the toughest jobs on Earth.
Super Glue for the toughest jobs on Earth.

The woman has insurance but only covers up to $1,000 a year. Since she didn’t have enough money to get dental work, she used Super Glue to keep her teeth from falling out.

September Williamson was having problems with her teeth, which seemed to be falling out, but she couldn’t afford proper dental care. To fix her teeth, she has to pay $8,500 for her partial dentures.

Since the insurance will cover only up to $1,000 a year, she couldn’t afford to have the dentures. So, she decided to use “Super Glue” instead to hold the teeth in position.

September Williamson told KKCO, a TV station in Grand Junction, Colorado.

"My kids have never really seen me smile. My husband says he misses it...I have a crown that is Super Glued in the front, but I can't fix it until I can get my dentures on top,"

Who knows how many more out there do similar things to avoid the high health costs?

Not sure how to react to this. It's funny but quite dangerous. She's lucky she didn't make mistakes. She could've glued something else on her mouth, like her tongue or somethin'.

BeatsMe, thanks, desperate times require desperate measures I guess. There are 50 million without health insurance in the US, I am sure they will also be making sacrifices and foregoing treatments.

Dental health is just as important as the health of any other part of your body, so I sincerely hope a remedy is found. It is sad that people have to sacrifice important things like health care.

I agree Stacie, we are the richest country in the world, it is disturbing to read such things.

It is really sad that one has to take such measures to keep one's teeth in place. Hope the situation will change somewhat.

i agree Einron, hopefully with this news she will be able to get some help or some dentist will offer her services for a modest fee.

The price of super glue would rise if they knew that its used to fix dentures too.

The extortionate prices of dentists everywhere make me sick to the teeth! really! and it does not surprise me that she chose to resort to this!! I have heard recent reports of elderly people using pliers to extract old teeth due to high dentist prices..

Quicksand, funny, true also, they may advertise it next.

Compu-smart, that is disturbing also. Sad western governments can't give good medical care for all the residents.

I made sure to be awake for all my dental work. just so i can learn how to do it my self in the future. This is beacuse my teeth ruined my life. Great job, 7.5 credit 60 grand in available credit...BOOM! A problem at work..cant go back..then a tooth breaks, then another..8500 later im borke with no credit and nearly 40 grand in debt. Iv moved off the grid, bought a dental surgical kit and now work souly by add's I find on the internet for cash or non taxed payment. My new life should become more indeand as things get worse and others stop paying the gov thier hard earn'd money. VIVA LA AMERICAN REVOLUTION!!!!
