I love to make color pages with children's name on them for them to color as they wish. There is one thing that is sure to keep a child happy and content while mom is busy that is coloring pages. I love the pages that have less detail for younger children they make it easier for them to color. Most of my younger friends and family love animals so I started with animals but I love making my own coloring pages so much I thought why stop there, I can make toys shapes and even names. Coloring pages make a great gift, a basket full of printed coloring pages of their name and favorite animals or toys with a ribbon tied around it. Maybe a few lollipops tied together and stuck in the center for a surprise. What kid doesn't love to color even the big kids in my house love it. There is some thing so calming about turning off the television and sitting down with a friend to color quietly for a few hours. The best part is you can hang your picture on your fridge or wall and it enjoy it for days to come. Until the next master piece that is.

Another great idea is to save paper towel rolls to roll up your coloring pages and stick down inside the roll to keep them from getting tore. You can decorate the roll like a piece of candy or at Christmas time you can decorate it like a Christmas cracker, wrap it in wrapping paper leaving enough paper on both ends to be able to twist the wrapping paper then tie both ends with ribbon.
