Just for fun I would love bring out the color in music! Starting with band names: One band that has great music and a colourful name is Deep Purple. Another great band is Pink Floyd. Let's see there is The Black Crowes, Blue Oyster Cult, The Moody Blues, I guess I can put the band Cream on the list. Cream is a colour! There is the Average White Band, The White Stripes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, The Black Keys, Shocking Blue, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. I'm going to cheat and put Vanilla Fudge on here (Yeah that's a band and they toured with Led Zeppelin!).
Now there are a lot of bands with colourful names but also there are some colourful song titles as well...Let's start with "Crimson and Clover" by Tommy James and the Shondells. "Blue Suede Shoes" by oh I don't know maybe Elvis Presley, yeah definitely Elvis. "Summertime Blues" and "Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who. "Little Green", "Blue", "Blue Boy" and "Big Yellow Taxi" by one of the greatest songwriters Joni Mitchell. "Yellow Brick Road" by one of the greatest pianist Elton John. "Yellow Submarine" by you know who...The Beatles! "Marigold Sky" by Hall and Oates, I know marigolds are flowers but it's golden.
Alright now there is a lot more to go..."Cluney Blues" by Rory Gallagher. "The Orange Juice Song" by Deep Purple and "Orange Crush" by R.E.M. "Pink" by one of my favourite bands Aerosmith and "Back In Black" by ACDC. "White Lightning and Wine", "Silver Wheels" and "Black on Black II" by the one and only Heart. I heard someone singing "Gold Dust Woman", it may have been one of my favourite bands Fleetwood Mac (yes it was)! "White Rabbit" is a colourful song in many ways..this is done by Jefferson Airplane.
I like this song called "Nights in White Satin" by the Moody Blues. Here's a couple of brown songs, "Brown Sugar" by The Rolling Stones and "Brown Eyed Girl" from Van Morrison. I like green so here's "Green Eyed Lady" by a great band Sugarloaf. My favourite colour is blue and there seems to be a lot of blue songs mainly because they're blues songs here's "Suite Madame Blue" by Styx and "Devil With The Blue Dress" by a singer Mitch Ryder (and the Detroit Wheels) also "Little Bitch Blue" by Suzi Quatro.
There's also a song from rock band Ram Jam called "Black Betty". How could I not put "Black Dog" on this list?? Led Zeppelin did "Black Dog" if you didn't know! "White Summer/Black Mountain Side" another colourful song performed by Led Zeppelin. "Dirty White Boy" by Foreigner and "White Clean and Neat" by Robert Plant from his solo album "Now and Zen". Then we have some songs from Jimmy Page's solo album "Outrider", "Emerald Eyes", "Prison Blues", and "Blues Anthem". A colourful song by Pink Floyd is "Goodbye Blue Sky". Want some more blues? "Hometown Blues" from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers..also "Roadhouse Blues" by a great band The Doors.
Let's get those prettier colours like "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix. There is "Purple Rain" by Prince but The White Stripes have "Red Rain". John Mellencamp has some colour too, "Pink Houses". I also like a real good song by Cream and it happens to be a colourful song..."White Room". Let's not forget "Black Magic Woman" by Santana. Now to end this colourful list I am going to put the song "She's a Rainbow" by The Rolling Stones on the list!!! Oh and as a bonus colourful band name I can't forget the rock band Rainbow...Don't you just love the colours?? If you have any suggestions go ahead and comment! I couldn't list all the colours but I think I got most of the rainbow at least I got some kind of "rainbow"! (Haha)

Clever and fun hub. You've covered so many of the greats!
I love theme music hubs.
A couple I would suggest to add: Lady In Red (I think it's by Chris de Burgh) and the band Red Ryder. Suite Judy Blue Eyes by Crosby Stills Nash and Young.
And who can forget "Yellow Snow" by Frank Zappa?
Oh -- how about the Indigo Girls?
I guess Jackson Browne doesn't count:-)
