In Matthew 11:28 Jesus says, "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest."  Are you feeling drawn to your Savior? This hub is to share with you what it is to be saved, "born again" and the simple prayer of asking Jesus Christ into your heart to be your Lord and Savior today. He accepts you just as you are. You don't need to get cleaned up to take a bath, right? He is the only One who can save you and erase everything you've ever done in your lifetime, giving you a clean slate!

2 Corinthians 5:17 states, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

Psalm 103:12 states, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."

Isaiah 43:25 states, "I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins."

John 3:16 states, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

God knows man is sinful and because He is righteous, He sent His own Son, Jesus Christ to die in our stead. Our sins are PAID IN FULL. Because God raised Him from the dead we, too will be raised and brought back to God in heaven for all eternity! He is the ONLY ONE who can save you; He is the ONLY ONE who can raise you! This it the GOOD NEWS!

Following is some information about God, about Man and about Jesus who made the Way for us. You will never be alone. You will have His presence of love, His comfort and His power to overcome evil in your life! God is LOVING: John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but has eternal life.”

God is DESIROUS for man to repent: 2 Peter 3:9 states, “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

God is GRACIOUS in FORGIVING SIN & GIVING ETERNAL LIFE: John 5:24 states, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”

God is REACHABLE by all through one bridge, Jesus Christ: John 14:6 states, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”

MAN is SINFUL.

Romans 3:23 states, “For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

SIN SEPARATES US from GOD.

In the Old Testament, Isaiah 59:2 states, “But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.”

In the New Testament, Romans 6:23 states, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.”

MAN IS CONDEMNED already!

John 3:19 states, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; he who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

WE ARE UNABLE TO REACH GOD by other means such as:

Tradition (religious works as the Jewish washing of hands): Mark 7:7-9 states, “But in vain do they worship me, teachings as doctrines the precepts of men. Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.”

Good works: Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.”

Good behavior: Isaiah 64:6 states, “For all of us have become like one who is unclean, All of our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; All of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.”

Salvation through Christ Jesus is the "bridge" (so-to-speak) to bring man to God. You might be asking when is the right time to be saved? 2 Corinthians 6:2 completes the prophesy in the Old Testament book of Isaiah 49:8: "for He says, 'at the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you', behold now is 'the acceptable time". NOW is the acceptable time!

BELIEVE

1 John 5:12-13 state "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son does not have life. These things have I written to you, who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life."

What does it mean to believe? It is the Greek word pisteuo (pist-yoo'-o"); from pistis (pis'-tis) meaning conviction of religious truth; to have faith in, credit, to entrust one's spiritual well-being to Christ, commit, to trust. So, it's not just a matter of knowing or "believing" God exists. It's entrusting your spiritual life to Christ!

CONFESS YOUR SIN (REPENT)

Romans 10:9 "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

1 John 1:9 states, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

RECEIVE HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR

John 1:12-13 state, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born not of blood (womb), nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

BORN (AGAIN) OF GOD

John 3 is the story of Nicodemus, a Pharisee and ruler of the Jews. Jesus tells him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”“Unless one is born of water (womb) and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT

Luke 11:13 tells us to ask God! “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

Matthew 21:22 states, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

If you just asked Jesus into your heart, you are a child of God, saved by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ), you have inherited ALL of the PROMISES in God’s Word! Once you belong to Him, it is forever. John 10:28 states, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand."

We walk a walk of faith in our Lord. The Bible says in Romans 10:17 that “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Read the Word. Get together with other believers that are able to help you grow in knowledge and understanding. 1 Peter 2:2 states, “Desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow thereby.” Jesus says, "Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20)

Jesus Christ is your Shepherd and He will watch over you. His angels will protect you. When you are challenged, have faith that He will fight your battles for you.

Today, the Lord and all in heaven are rejoicing because one sheep that was lost is FOUND! That sheep is YOU!!
