Humorous License Plates

Driving on a daily basis and in congestion one sometimes grows tired of the radio station and CD's that they are playing, being fortunate enough to have the radio station button amongst other things on the steering wheel has made life much more enjoyable. Eyes on the road we run across personalized license plates and try to determine what the meaning of them are, and what made the people behind the wheel think about how they were going to create those seven letters or even sometimes a number and letter combination. Often I have thought about a personalized license plate, but the cost is much more then one can afford, determined I to will be among the percentile who enjoys being unique and standing out from the rest.

There are license plates that provide you with their last name, what they love to do, or a puzzle that we are adamant about figuring out. We become anxious, wishing we could stop them to ask where they came up with there unique license plate. There have been times when we were able to and other times where you jot it in your memory bank and place it there for safe keeping, anticipating the moment when you can share some of the most humorous license plates that are on the roads today.

Residing in a snowbird state we see plates from all of the United States including Canada and Mexico. We have yet to see a personalized plate from Mexico but if anyone has ran across one do let us know as many would be curious about what it may say.

OBI ONE 1 : What in the hell is that? Someone really believes that they are a part of Star Wars and what is the extra one for? I thought it meant that someone won something but then again it really didn't may any sense considering the person behind the wheel, was barely old enough to drive.

WHOAREU: What do you mean who am I ? Why would you ask anyone who they are? You certainly are not going to pull over and hold an entire conversation letting them know who you are, or would you?

ONESTOP: Huh? Is this the same vehicle that has made multiple stops and is directly hitting there breaks constantly? How did they come to the conclusion of one stop? If anyone out there has an idea please let us know.

KAZOO: O.K. we know many of us loved the Flinstones but is that where they got the name from? Who was that little flying alien? Looking out the front of my windshield, I was determined to see the person who had this plate and pulling into the left lane and being able to be side by side I determined that the person in the vehicle was unique to say the least with Orange hair and Purple highlights. Can you imagine?

WHYME21: From the tip of there head it appeared they may have been older then 21 but Taylor Hicks has gray hair to, so who knows. They should be thankful to be 21, as many of us have surpassed that wonderful number and were excited when we were 21.

BOGYMAN: Does that mean Bogey Man? Or Boogy Man? Is the boogey man no longer a figment of our imaginations? The man driving the Envoy certainly believed he could scare a person or two.

EATME02: How did this pass through the MVD? I bet there was some fast talking there, don't you?

RUNAWAY: Sitting in traffic I certianly did want to pull over, park the car and runaway to a place other then gridlock on the highway.

UR2CUTE: Oh how sweet the vehicle thinks I am cute, "Why thank you, you adorable Range Rover, you are not so bad yourself.

WHOSAID: Here is another one that tries to hold a conversation, the friggin car is talking to you, what do you mean, "Who said?"

DRTHVDR: Another Star Wars fan? I bet they dress up like him to at Halloween.

TWINKEL: Twinkle, Twinkle little star, do you think they made an error in the spelling?

LEVEL1: Now this one does not make any sense, level one of what? Should we honk, roll the window down and ask?

WHATIFU: What if I what? Passed you by, what would you do? Honk, flip me off? Get out of the way I am coming through.

BENDOVR: Is it Ben Dover or bend over? You decide , sounds to me like someone is going to get a spanking.

LOVEEU2: So you love me? You don't know me.

THINKUP: This could be good or this could be nonsense, Think Up or thin cup, have you ever heard of a thin cup? I haven't but if you have let me know.

ALLMINE: I hope it is paid for as it isn't all yours odds are that $70,000 Escalade still belongs to the bank, but the thought is good.

JUST4ME: Talk about vain, what do you mean just for you? Who is the person in the passenger seat , isn't it for them to?

DVAGIRL: Oh my God ! Need I say more?

IDIDIT2: What did you do? Please share as we are sitting in enough traffic to chat for at least 20 minutes before we get moving.

YURMINE: Hell to the No I am not yours, you nutty little fruitcake let someone else be yours, but I certainly will not.

LETSPLA: Trying to figure this one out I hope it ended up right , Let's Play , play with what? Are we going to hang off the jungle gym? Do back handsprings? Play with dolls? Why would I play with you? Guaranteed if we really did play I would be the one that would end up with the speeding ticket.

BIG-1: Big one what? What do you mean big one? you appear to be a mini.

People are as unique as there license plates, the license plates that I described have been from New York, Minnesota, Arizona, California, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, and of course Canada. Instead of sitting in traffic mumbling and grumbling , watch for a BMW with a personalized license plate that may read AREUNTS? And a sticker in the window that will say, I read yours now you read mine.

Interesting plates and interpretations. I'm thinking that WHO SAID could also be Who's Aid-- like maybe a first responder? TWINKEL could be a TWIN Kel ( initials or short for Kelley) I knew twin girls named Shelley and Kelley-- maybe it was KEL?

IDIDIT2 could have come from a mispelling of IDIOT .

Gr8 Idea 4 a Hub. If I see any vanity plates around with HUBBER or HUBSTER I will honk and recognize a kindred spirit.

I'm with you, tho. The cost of such plates seems prohibitive to me. Plus the risk that people will either not understand or misinterpret or make fun of my selection!

True story: I had a good friend when I worked for a law firm whose plate was DMLAWYR (you know, like Shakespeare?). Well, of course he drove a hot shot little Mercedes sports car. And I don't even have to tell you how often he got pulled over by CHP who did not, apparently, appreciate his humor and were only too delighted to find some lame ass excuse (like dangerous lane change) to pull him over!!

My license plate in college was One4Fun. Funny, the hubby didn't seem to mind it until we got married. Then he made me change it. But it hangs on the wall in his shop. Now I have boring 3 letters followed by 3 numbers. I had to get a new one about a month ago because our state designed new plates. It just so happened the first 3 letters are "BOS". He doesn't like that, either.
