I really enjoy writing in blogs. I also enjoy getting paid for it. Before I found HubPages, I was writing for Today.com. That site is a bit different from HubPages. First, you go to the site and choose a topic for you blog. It can be about anything as long as it is legal and is not X rated. There is a simple application in order to get a blog. The management wants to know what the blog will be about, why you want the blog, and what category the blog will be.

The blog will be reviewed once a month by management in order to keep it clean. If you do a really good or really bad job, they might choose to raise or lower the money you make. No matter what, though, you will always be paid $2 CPM (that is $2 for every thousand unique viewers). You don't even have to wait for 1,000 viewers to get the money. You can see your money everyday. For example, if my blog gets 500 unique viewers, I will get about $1.

The community is very helpful and very active. There are lots of great traffic building and resource help in the forum, also. They fact that you choose a subject and stick to it has many benefits. First, people become familiar with your subject and trust you. Second, you get to show other people you are an expert on a particular subject, even if it is you own life. Third, sticking to one subject makes you think more about it and makes you learn and grow.

My blog is about commercials. It is titled CommercialsNmore and is a review of current commercials with a quick explanation of the strategies used in the commercials. I actually enjoy watching commercials. It probably has something to do with my passion for marketing. I just finished a 4 year Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing. The work was tough but I really enjoyed the subject.

I am a personal assistant for a financial planner. Not exactly my chosen field of study. By keeping a blog about commercials and advertisements, I am able to keep my mind on the subject and continue learning about it. I am grateful for this because I know I will have a job in a marketing one day and I want my skills to still be fresh and active on the subject.

The website, Today.com, is still accepting bloggers. If you are interested, follow this link to learn more and/or sign up.
