59The Truth about STD's can be very scary and few people ever seem to talk about it. With more than one in four people infected through out the United States it has become a secrete epidemic.
Its so popular now that whenever you turn on the tv you see an add for Valtrax the herpes supressor or Gardasil to prevent cervical cancer from the HPV virus that causes Genital Warts. With all of this going on you would think that there would be even more education aimed at young people to help stop the spread of all these diseases.
We put together a list of STD's from the site yourstdhelp.com which seems to be doing just what I said and thats spread the word not the disease.
HIV- Very dangerous disease that effects millions of people accross the globe. Can be transmitted sexually and intravenously.
Chlamydia- one of the top dogs in STD's. Can be cured but has very few symptoms and people seem to pass it on without knowing it. Which is why its at the top of the list of sexual diseases people contract.
Crabs- Curable and not really dangerous at all. These little parasites tend to jump from partner to partner during sex and can cause itchyness and irratation.

Hepatitis- A very dangerous liver disease that depending on the strain can be contracted iintravenously or sexually.
Herpes- Not very dangerous but very anoying. One in five people have contracted this disease which basicly gives you blisters in places that should never have them.
HPV- Dangerous disease if your carring one of the dangerous strains. This disease can be very silent and you may not know you have it for years while passing it on to others. It has also been found out to be one of the main causes of cervical cancer in women. and causes Genital Warts.
Scabies- Another parasite that loves to go from person to person not only during sexual intercourse but also just in close contact. Very easy to get rid of but still embarrassing.
Syphilis- Can be a very dangerous disease if not treated imideatly. It has three different stages where you think you have gotten better but are just moving on to an even worse stage.
