Compact Washing Machine -- Do Your Laundry on Your Table
75Wash your clothes with these tiny washing machines
Those living with limited space should consider purchasing a compact washing machine. They offer a lot of benefits to those looking to save money and space.
Compact washing machines, like the name indicates, are mini-sized washing machines that can wash a small load of clothes. This makes these machines idea for college students or single persons living with very little spare room.
You can put a compact washing machine practically anywhere: on top of a table, on a fridge, on a bed stand. Most compact washers are less than a foot tall and half a food wide. Many of these machines look more like a blender than an actual washing machine!
So the question must be asked: can you actually wash clothes with a compact washer? You most definitely can. Indeed, you would be very surprised to find out that compact washers actually do a very decent job at washing clothes. The clothes come out fresh and clean. I won’t say the clothes would be as clean as if you put the load in a commercial washing machine, or even a standard washing machine, but for the size of the device, it does a fantastic job.
So what are the advantages of a compact washing machine?
There are several, but I’ll give the top 4.
1. Save on Space
Compact washers are tiny – very tiny. They are a tad wider than a salad bowl and about as tall as a blender. Trust me when I say space is NOT an issue with these things. Most people are incredulous when you tell them that plastic bowl by your bed is actually a washing machine!
2. Save Energy
The smaller size of a micro washing machine means they only require a fraction of the energy that standard sized washing machine requires. These things require about as much energy as a blender.
3. Save on Water
The smaller size means you don’t have to have very much water present inside the washing machine. You can save significant amounts of water by using a mini washing machine.
4. Save Money
Compact washing machines are very cheap, when compared to standard sized washers or industrial washing machines. They are also very cheap to run. The small size (and engine) mean that compact washing machines only use a very small amount of power. So, by using a compact washing machine, you save money on the purchase, and you save money on the usage of the machine. Lower utility bills are always good in a recession!
Now, there are some cons to compact washing machines. The primary con is the fact that you can only wash a very small load. We are talking a couple shirts, a few pairs of underwear, half a dozen socks, and MAYBE a pair of jeans. This means if you let the laundry pile up, you will be spending quite a bit of time washing multiple loads. For best results, you should make a point to wash a load every day – this will save you time in the long run.
The other con is that compact washing machines take longer to finish washing than a standard washing machine. This is due to the small engine. All things being said, these tiny washing machines are a marvel of technology. You get less space to wash, but they do a VERY good job at cleaning your clothes.
If you really want to save space, you can also pick up a compact washer dyer combo to both wash and dry your clothes. Cool!
These devices make very good gifts – especially to college students. These also function very well as a travel washing machine. I can’t say you would really be able to pack it in a suitcase (though you could if you want), but for extended road trips – this device is godsend.
So if you are looking for a washing solution and have limited space, consider getting a compact washing machine. You will save money and space!
