Component Car Speakers

Gone are the days of simple, two-speaker, rear-mount car audio systems. Most new vehicles are sent direct from the factory with some kind of component car speakers as standard equipment.

True component car speakers separate the woofer and tweeter into individual, mountable units. Also known as coaxial and triaxial speakers, they allow the sound waves of the woofer to be produced without possible interference from the tweeter. Combined with quality crossovers, which allow proper filtering of the high and low frequencies, component speakers produce an unparalleled richness to the audio signal reproduction.

A non-component car speaker, although more compact, reduces the quality of both the high and low frequency spectrum. In this configuration, both woofer and tweeter are fighting to maximize their output in one small space.

The difference in sound quality is noticeable.

It's like going from 2-D to 3-D vision. The component car speaker adds depth, range and clarity, which creates realistic and exceptional sound.
