Compound bows are used for hunting, and at archery competitions. Some come with scopes to make targeting easier. Newer ones are also very light weight so they are easy to carry.

Typically you can only get a compound bow at an authorized brick and mortar dealer. Most manufacturers restrict sales online. But that's ok, because you probably need to go try one out for yourself so get one that's right for YOU.
