Confessions of a fixer
59Ok... I admit. I am a fixer. I am constantly on the lookout for ways to help... ways to fix situations. And it makes me very upset when I can't fix everything and every one.
Just yesterday I gave my ill father health advice (yes, he pretty much has a TEAM of doctors at his disposal). And the other day I happily doled out advice to a friend who found a lump in her breast.
My advice is not limited to medical, though. And, I always err on the side of caution, urging people to be seen by a doctor. Another precaution I take is I am careful to recommend home remedies or natural helps-- always thinking about possible interactions with any meds.
Just look at my blogs. I happily dispense advice on shopping, making gifts, living frugally, just about anything that I feel knowledgeable about.
Don't get me wrong. I will only blog about things that I know a lot about-- both from real life experience and from research I have done.
At times I find myself looking for ways to help and inform people. And my life has been such that I seem to have a LOT of information about a LOT of stuff. I am not an expert on anything... just know a lot. And I always want to share my information and *Help* others.
So... I am a fixer. I need to help people and fix situations. That is my drug... my addiction.
