Conformation Is A Must
71Don't Be Afraid!
We hear about Presidential Czars’ almost daily, yet there are many questions to be asked by every American, no matter what party or belief one may possess. We elect a President, a Senator and a member of the House of Representatives. The President nominates individuals for The Supreme Court and his Cabinet, but they must be confirmed by the people we elected to another branch of the government. We call it “checks and balances.” Presidential Czars’ do NOT need conformation, do you see a problem?
One definition of Presidential Czars’ is- 1.an informal term for certain high-level officials in the United States Executive Branch who wield unspecified power, and operate independently of the United State Legislative Branch, as they do not undergo a confirmation process and are directly appointed by the Chief Executive. http://www.jeremygilby.com/?p=2125
Czars’ are not something new to either party; the first President to appoint a Czar was Richard Nixon. “Richard Nixon, the first president to be openly antagonistic toward the constitution, started the American Czar movement. Along with the first Drug Czar, Nixon had an Inflation Czar who, with a hand picked council, set wage and price controls over virtually everything. This unconstitutional bit of fascist economic policy had precedence in Roosevelt’s New Deal—but nonetheless it is incredible that Americans accepted it—while relentlessly making fun of French and British socialism.” This comes from http://waronyou.com/topics/czarist-america/. Richard Nixon had two Czars’’.
Jimmy Carter appointed two inflation czars: Washington super lawyer (also ambassador to Russia, U.S. Trade Representative, Democratic National Committee chairman, etc., etc.) Robert Strauss and then Alfred Kahn, who was teaching at CornellUniversity at the time. Even with the czar mantle, neither Canute could hold back the tide of inflation. That job fell to the Fed chairman, Paul Volcker.
While previous administrations had czars – Ronald Reagan had 1, George Bush had 1, Bill Clinton had 3 and George W. Bush had 4 – Congressman Kingston’s concern takes root in the number and speed with which they are being appointed as well as the vast policy areas they govern.
“At this rate, we’ll have 272 czars by 2012,” said Congressman Kingston. “It seems President Obama is in the midst of forming a parallel government to push his policies. Not only do they duplicate existing Senate-confirmed positions, they are completely unaccountable. I serve on the Appropriations Committee which is responsible for overseeing every dollar spent by our government but I’ve yet to see a single one of Obama’s czars.” While previous administrations had czars – Ronald Reagan had 1, George Bush had 1, Bill Clinton had 3 and George W. Bush had 4 – Congressman Kingston’s concern takes root in the number and speed with which they are being appointed as well as the vast policy areas they govern.
Is our current President trying to create his own personal administration? You decide for yourself. I am presenting some facts and trying to start a movement against unconfirmed Czars’ or Advisors to any President. What right does a person whom the electorate voted into office have to disobey the Constitution of The United States Of America?
That is why I am starting an organization named; CONFORMATION IS A MUST! Every person is entitled to be a member, with no membership fee. You will not receive mailings or a card; you can check my articles on www.hub.com and add your comments. If I do not receive too many mailings; I will try to answer everyone. My private email address is harveystelman@comcast.net . I ask each of you to be a part of this by writing an article anywhere. My plan is very simple and I have taken it from Saul Alinsky. I admit this even though our President does not.
We must ATTACK-ATTACK-ATTACK ! No do not mean physically, let us prove “the pen is mightier than the sword.” Since I am one man starting this, I will have to be the one to pick the Czar to write about. I will put out this Czar or Advisors name.
With all these individuals the President is giving his ear to; let the people force him to listen to us. Two of his appointments have already made our job easier, they have resigned. Please ask all your friends to WRITE-WRITE-WRITE! Their political positions have no meaning; we are talking about out Constitution. We have a separation of power, let us keep it.
CONFORMATION IS A MUST,

Confirmation should be done by opposition party. It will make best balance.
Harvey,
A very wothwhile project. Speaking of FDR's wage and price controls the direct result of those controls is that employers offered health insurance benefits to there employees so they could keep their best employees. This was made necessary by the fact that FDR had taken away the option of giving these employees a raise in pay to reward them for good performance of their jobs.
That in a nutshell is the history of employer based health insurance in the USA.
So now we have another liberal progressive saying we must replace the same program instituted by the actions of the King of liberal progressive Presidents.
Harvey if you get a chance, visit greatamerican's Hubs.
Here is another, both information about czars.............
eovery,
It would be a great thing to get on the books for any other Czar or Advisor.
Would you be interested in writing on this? Even the Democratic control is not able to pass health-care because the people are rising up. It can also be done on this topic because it doesn't matter which party you support, you just have to want conformation.
If you are against conformation, you are un-American.
Vlad,
Conformation is done by a committee of both parties conducting a question-answer of the candidate. Then they vote. The controlling party (today the Democrat's) will have the Chairman and possibly more people on the committee.
If facts like the ones about Van Jones come out, people start calling their Senator's/Representative's. Anything can happen but things can then be known. The one's voting will have a record for the public to see in the future.
Tom,
You are absolutely correct, but would you be willing to write on any site? Some sites take short articles and can you get any friends to write also.
Party means nothing, it's all about CONFORMATION.
Jib, I'll try. With my MS I barely have time to answer Hubs and write an article. I know The Great One and will take a look.
Jib,
I read both articles and commented to the Great One. I asked him to join forces with me, as I ask you.
Harvey, I appreciate your hubs and willingness to stand up for what you believe in. I'm with ya babe!
RS,
Gotcha! We need more people in on the writing, only four have said they will. That includes you.
Once again, Harvey, you are spot on. It is the framework for a parallel government. And it ought to be unconstitutional—if it isn't. Good idea. Good writing.
James,
Thanks again! Parallel: Think about what his lordship will do with his private army.Damn, he already has ACORN and SEIU.

Interesting Hub.
But with a democratic controlled congress the confirmation is a given in these cases.
I agree confirmation would be nice.
keep on hubbing!
