How is it Possible to Have Permanent Weight Loss?----Does dieting slow down your metabolism?
It's commonly known that eating less will make the body adjust to a new calorie intake and hence no further weight loss So how then is it possible to have permanent weight loss happen, if eating less often doesn’t work?
The trick to losing weight is to fool your metabolism into thinking it is getting fed normally. Don't try to lose weight by starving yourself, because your metabolism kicks in to a lower gear and hangs on to everything you feed yourself, making weight-loss near impossible. Plus, after you have managed to starve yourself and not die, the minute you start consuming again, your body sucks up every calorie it gets, and you pack the weight back on. If you want to lose weight, which is a very difficult and a long process, you have to eat good quality food: grains; veggies; low-fat meat./fish; drink plenty of water; and do a little exercise. It sounds very easy, but it is very hard to do when you are de-toxing your body from sugars and fats. Se a specialist for an appropriate food plan, that suits your body type
Does Weight Loss get any easier?
All good things take their time and results can show up in less than a week if you plan well. The hardest nut to swallow is when there is little or no result and this makes a programme a little tougher to stick to. I'm not sure at what point will it get easier mentally, because some people are stronger than others. Also, if and when results start to show, it is invariably a lot of weight loss the first week, then hardly anything the next, and then settles down and stays at a steady rate after that.
All weight loss programs depend on which program that you incorporate in order to achieve your ideal weight. A healthy weight loss program does not make you lose weight in such a way that your health is at risk and starvation is definitely considered a dirty word. Also if you are not aged stressed and need to lose weight, it would probably be a good idea to start now, because with every year it becomes more and more difficult to lose weight and keep it off.
Don’t dwell on the word “diet.” It only serves to defeat you because it implies denying your self. We as people, do not like to be denied of anything. You could join a weight-loss group like, Overeaters Anonymous, or even a group like Weight Watchers. It is easier to lose weight if you are teamed up with people who have the same outlook as you. Good luck wont be an issue but determination will be to you, and eat healthy in the process!
