hen I worked in Palm Springs, California, last week, a taxi driver named Joe, said in a strange experience that really made me think. He spoke of a man who entered her car around 1:00 pm and began the task of going here and there. When he reached his destination, the man sat in the subway car.

After a couple of hours, Joe said, "You run up to $ 80 on the meter. I'll get money from you if you keep this car." Without hesitation, the man spent $ 150.

As the day progressed, he began to share with your taxi driver that it was important to keep moving, that the CIA was behind them. His story became even more strange that the day went on.
Finally, around 9:00 am, Joe has been instructed to deliver the man to his own apartment. While receiving the payment of more than $ 425, Joe said: "The day was very expensive for you, right?"

"Oh, no, no!" He replied. "I had to go to a lawyer and a psychologist today. This has been a godsend!"

First, my heart is with the passenger whose paranoia kept him in moving on. However, it seems that we must often take time to do what he did. When we are tempted to complain about the inconvenience or discomfort of a situation, perhaps we should consider the alternatives.
Consider these examples.

Her teenage daughter is not working as you think it should at school. When you try to talk to her about this, she seems indifferent and talk with contempt. Yes, you are right to be concerned, and have real problems to solve. But what if it was the mother of my office the other day that 15 years was killed instantly in a front with a drunk driver? Consider that they are grateful that their daughter is with you, warts, potential, and everything.

The Jangles awaken suddenly. You groan as you roll and looking for her. You have worked long hours yesterday and today is not much better. In the alternative. What if you do not have a job that pays the bills and gives you the opportunity to use the talents God gave you?

Ever get impatient when you can buy whatever you want, whenever you want? Have you ever looked around and saw others with much more feeling sorry for yourself? Stop! Come with me to visit family I met on the cardboard shack in South Africa. It is best to let the disc a little outside our comfort, routinely in our own community. There are people in our doors who know what it means that the food ration and enjoy a small meal a day. I am most of you are like me. When I have my way, I may be embarrassed, but my life and welfare are not involved.
The Bible says: "Give thanks in everything." Not all things, give thanks, but in all things. One way of achieving this is to take the time to put their current difficulties in perspective.

I once saw a cartoon of two chassis that was still recall years later. A man sitting alone under a tree on a small island, said: "Alone in this desert island. This is awful. What could be worse?" Marco two. A flock of seagulls approaches. Both gulls are converse: "Henry, the whole herd is very sick from eating all the green apples. I see a tree in the front. Let's rest here.

Do you think you have it bad? Is it really a disaster, or just a nuisance? Most cases, could be much worse. Consider the alternative!
