81Consumer Reports 1. Smart Consumer Report - Introduction
Welcome to a unique consumer report!
If
you are looking for general reviews and comparisons of consumer
products and services, you need to visit other consumer reports pages.
At
this HubPage, you will find a different kind of consumer report. Not
only can you find out about worthy products and services, but you can
also find out how to become a Smart Consumer and solve potential
problems everyone faces in daily life.
How do you do this?
By joining
an aloe vera and bee products company named Forever Living Products and
consuming those products.
I want you to make up your own mind.
So I'll ask you some straight forward questions, then think about the
common sense answers provided by Forever Living Products (FLP).
First, consider how many of these potential problems you might face. Does the solution proposed by FLP solve these problems?
• Are you unemployed and - for whatever reason - not able to find a job?
• Do you want to earn additional income in your free time?
• Do you want to start your own business?
• Do you want financial independence?
What benefits do you receive when you find the solutions to these problems?
• Personal development?
• Meet new people?
• Help other people?
• Quit your day job?
• Have a financially secure future?
• Be a Smart Consumer and ecologically conscious?
Answer these questions honestly and think about the following:
• Is solving these potential problems important?
• What are the disadvantages if you do not solve these problems?
• Do you want to be an environmentally aware consumer?
So, let's begin with our dear Mr. Consumer and see how to make him Smart.
Consumer Reports 2. Smart Consumer Report - Converting expenses in investment
Each one of us is a consumer but not all of us are Smart Consumers.
We
are accustomed to buying certain products, often convinced by slick
advertising (and perhaps even uncertain of the quality) from a
supermarket, paying full retail price and leaving without thinking.
What have we done?
EXPENSES
Consumer----> Supermarket----> Uncertain quality----> Retail price----> about $150 per month---> Expenses
I
estimate that a three or four-member family spends, on average, more
than $150 on shampoo, soap, toothpaste, hair gel, after-shave,
deodorant, laundry detergent, dish soap, and household cleaning
products.
We buy all of these products at the supermarket!
In
addition, if we add over-the-counter medications that must be purchased
for family members who get sick (which can be avoided with proper
prevention), we see that taking care of our health and well-being adds
even more to the total.
However, for the sake of our discussion, let's figure that a family spends $150 per month on these purchases.
Here is how FLP helps with these expenses!
Consumer, purchase the products you need from FLP at wholesale prices.
Not only do you get the best quality products, but also you will be
refunded a percentage of the total of your personal purchases directly
into your bank account on the 15th of every month!
Consumer---> FLP---> Excellent quality---> Wholesale Prices---> Refund 7.5% - 11.5% - 18.5% - 25.5%---> Investment
I think you can agree that this consumer is a Smart Consumer…
He converts expenses into an investment!
However,
our consumer is smart, but he has not solved all of his problems. He
just purchased $150 of products from FLP and earned a refund of
(calculating with the highest percentage) 25.5% x $150 = $38.25. (Some
people have to work 5-6 hours to earn $38.25!)
Let's examine what happens next.
Consumer Reports 3. Smart Consumer Report/ROI, Return of Investment
Forever Living Products is a manufacturer that vertically controls all stages of
production. However, FLP is also a distributor. FLP products are
shipped directly to the homes of consumers around the world.
You
can order products online, or call one of the dedicated telephone
numbers for each of the 135 countries where FLP is located, place your
order, and the next day they are delivered to your home.
What does this achieve?
ELIMINATION OF THE MIDDLEMAN
At least 70% of the price we pay for a product goes to the exporter, importer, wholesaler, retailer, and for advertising.
Have
you seen the recent promotion of FLP on TV? I am sure you have not,
because there are no advertisements about FLP on television or anywhere
else.
So without advertising, how can this company continue to
increase its revenue for 31 years, and particularly in 2008 amid the
financial crisis, reach a record U.S. $2.5 billion?
It is because we, the associates, do the advertising. And we all know that the best advertising is word-of-mouth.
FLP says:
"
You, Smart Consumer, have been using the products and have been
delighted with them, so refer them to other people (relatives, friends,
acquaintances). Tell them to do the same (i.e. use the products and
tell other people about them). And get a cash bonus, above the bonus on
your own purchases, on all purchases made by your referrals."
Let's look at an example:
You
refer 10 people x $150 per month spent = $1500 x an average rate of
10%. That equals $150 deposited into your bank account on the 15th of
every month!
How much money did you pay for your products? $150
How much bonus money does FLP pay you? $150
How much does it cost for your monthly purchases? $0!
Yes, but these 10 people who you referred, by copying what you do, will use the products and will each refer 10 people.
Thus
your network, Smart Consumer, grows to 100 people spending $150 per
month = $15,000 at 10% = $1,500 deposited into your bank account!
We
see that now things are getting serious. $1,500 per month is something!
As additional income, $1500 is quite satisfactory. Of course, that is
not enough money to become financially independent, but note how, if
you follow a 12-month plan, you can achieve financial independence.
