Behavioral research suggests that the most effective people are those who understand themselves, both their strengths and weaknesses, so they can develop strategies to meet the demands of their environment.

This tool is only measuring behavior and report statements which are true and areas of behavior in which tendencies are shown.

Practically, DISC (Dominant, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance) could be apply also for defining leadership style of people as individual or small organization behavior, which enable us to apply the best way of communicating to other people or inter-organization within business unit.

Some of sections could be identify using this tool. They are :

1.General Characteristic

This is a general statement to provide some information about ones's work style that trying identify the basic natural behavior that ones bring to the job. These statements identify HOW HE WOULD CHOOSE TO DO THE JOB.

2.Value to Organization

This of the report identifies the specific talents and behavior ones bring to the job. By looking at these statements, we can identify their role in the organization and The organization can develop a system to capitalize value and and make an integral part of the team

3.The Way of Communication

This section provides other people with a list of to DO and DON'T when communicating with. Many people find this section to be extremely accurate and important for enhanced interpersonal communication.

4.Communication Tips

This section provide tips on communication method which will improve the way of communication with others. The tips include a brief description of typical people with whom he may interact. By adapting to the communication style desired by other people, they will become more effective in communications.

Then practicing some flexibility in varying communication style with others who may be different from us would be a ability to interpret the needs of others is the mark of a superior communicator.

5.Ideal Environment

People with limited flexibility will find themselves uncomfortable working in any job not described in this section People with flexibility use intelligence to modify their behavior and can be comfortable in many environments. Use this section to identify specific duties and responsibilities that enjoy and also those that create frustration.

6.Perception

A person's behavior and feelings may be quickly telegraphed to others. This section provides additional information on self-perception and how, under certain conditions, others may perceive his behavior. Understanding this section will empower people to project the image that will allow them to control the situation.

7.Key to Motivate

People are motivated by the things they want; thus wants that are satisfied no longer motivate. for instances :

  • Vacations or periods of reduced activity level.

  • An awareness of the parameters or rules in writing.
  • To negotiate commitment face-to-face.

  • To adjust his intensity to match the situation.

It is difficult for a person to enter a motivational environment when that person's basic management needs have not been fulfilled. So we do need also to identify their needs, for instances :

  • To understand his role on the team--either a team player or the leader.

  • To display empathy for people who approach life differently than he does.

  • A program for pacing work and relaxing.

  • Appreciation of slower-moving people.

  • To understand the importance of annual physicals because of his activity level.
  • To know results expected and to be evaluated on the results.

8. Area for improvement

This section try to identify limitations that hindering people's performance and develop an action plan to reduce these limitations
