Save money, save your health, and keep your garden safe from unneeded chemicals by applying one of these organic methods to your plants and vegetables to control powdery mildew and fungus in your garden.

Here's what you'll need:

Organic milk

Garden Sprayer

Cornmeal

1: The first method requires the sprayer and the milk.

2: Mix one part milk to 9 parts water in the sprayer.

3: Spray affected plants once a week in the early morning till mildew disappears.

4: The second method calls for sprinkling cornmeal around the base of your plant. Early spring is best, but can be done so year round. (This method works especially well with roses.)

5: You may work the cornmeal into the soil, but it is not necessary; water in the cornmeal well.

Tip: Not only is milk effective at controlling powdery mildew, it also acts as a foliar fertilizer, boosting the plant's immune system. Bonus!

Fungus and mildew tend to thrive in dampness. If you're over watering, or your soil is not given the chance to dry out some, you will not have long lasting results from these organic methods.
