Sample Convertible Crib

Convertible cribs can help you child sleep for years.

They start out little. I can remember the first baby, I mean truly infant sized baby that I held. It was my little brother. He was so small, his fingers and toes were like teensy weensy little bumps, his hand was so much smaller than mine. I was only seven. My big brother who was nine, he held our new little sibling and declared, "he's all red and wrinkly, like a monkey." We loved our little brother, he was so precious, he would coo and burbble and we would chatter right back at him. His intelligent little eyes would follow us wherever we went. Then, before we knew it, he had grown into a pudgy ball of pink fat power. He could swing his little fists really fast, and he would saunter around the house in his poofy diaper expecting, and getting all the attention he wanted.

Kids are incredible. They were just small little infants when you brought them home. But before you know it, before you can do anything about it, they're walking, talking, and causing mayhem wherever they go. Not necessarily of course, and not to scare you. But, sooner than you expect they are off to explore the world, and they should be, and you can be very pleased with them. The problem is, as they grow that fast, you need to be able to keep up. Sure cribs are built with mattresses that lower so they can't get out, but I have experienced first hand the genius of little bodies wanting out of a crib. You can't really keep them there. And to get a toddler bed means a rather painful hassle. You don't want to have to take that beautiful wood crib that you just bought for your infant, and within two years, pack it away in the attic or garage. So, what do you do?

Actually, there is a really awesome new item out on the market that you would be sad to miss in your preparations for that tiny little home addition. Convertible cribs are made specially for your baby. I'm not saying that they are only made to order, but you really could have it custom designed if you wanted. Convertible cribs are actually just like their name says, convertible to the growth of your child. They start out as cribs, with moveable mattresses, they can then convert into a toddler bed with rails to keep your child from falling out, but including a opening for your independent child to get in and out of the bed through. Some then convert into a day bed, and then into a twin or full sized bed. Others convert straight into a full sized bed, where your child can sleep comfortably for years to come.

So if you want to take the hassle out of preparing for your child, and you plan to enjoy the short time you have with your child in each unique size, get a bed that can grow with their needs and enjoy the moments you have.

These convertible cribs are great as your baby seems to grow out of a traditional crib so quickly. My 'babies' are now 6 foot tall and need the biggest beds in the house.
