This Card Trick is Cool: A Simple Trick to Get you Started!
Introduction
If you want to impress your friends with some magic, you're going to love this cool card trick and it's soooo easy to do. Seriously, walk through each step three or four times and you'll be a card trick master. The next thing you know you'll be performing to a full house (nice pun, eh?)!
The Trick
Someone in the audience takes a card from you (the magician). After the spectator places the card face up on the table, the magician notes the value of the card and deals the remaining cards into piles equal to the value of the chosen card. Then the top card of each pile is revealed. The audience is amazed to see that they all match.
The Magic
1. Stack the deck so that the fours are on top and put the threes above the fours.
2. Now deal the first eight cards on the top of the deck so that they are face down and in a row. Ask someone to choose a card from the row. When the card is selected push it forward. The card should still be face down.
3. Start from the left and pick up the remaining seven cards in the row. As you pick up each card, place it underneath the previous. Place all of the collected cards from the row on the top of your card deck. You should end up with a deck of cards that has threes on top followed fours regardless of the card that was chosen by the spectator.
4. Now start placing cards face down on to the table from the top of your card deck. You should put these cards into one pile. After you have dealt a minimum of seven cards into the pile on the table, ask a member of your audience to tell you stop when they want you to stop dealing the cards. Put the cards you are dealing on the table and off to the side when your spectator tells you to stop.
5. Now explain to your spectators that you will deal the number of piles represented by the value of the card chosen in step 2. For example, if the chosen card was a three then you will put the cards, face down, into three stacks on the table. If the chosen card was a four then you will make four stacks.
6. Show the top card of each stack. Magically, the top card of each stack will be a three when they are revealed to the spectators.
If a four is chosen, the first four cards on the top of your deck will be threes.
I hope you have tons of fun with this! I do!
