The Reality Of The Breakup

Once the relationship breakup has taken place, most people need some sort of advice to help them cope with it. The heartache is bad enough but your confidence takes a hit as well as all the plans you had made for the future. Everything seems unreal and unorganised, confusion and indecision is also common, and normal, there is nothing wrong with you even though it probably feels that way, what you are going through is pretty much the same as everyone goes through after a breakup and is why they search for cope with your breakup advice. Not everyone is affected to the same degree, a lot depends on how long the relationship had lasted before the breakup and how strong it was, still, there are few who manage to experience a breakup and walk away unscathed.

Realistically, there is only one way that you can go about coping with the aftermath of a breakup, although you do have two choices.

The first is to let it tear you apart and destroy your life, at least in the short term. The second is to rise above it and become stronger by facing it head on and dealing with it. The best way of doing this is to understand as much as you can about your breakup and the effect it is having on you. With understanding comes the ability to think clearly again and you will be able to look on your relationship and events from the outside at a distance instead of being in the middle of everything. Confusion, at this time, is common and makes everything seem an insurmountable problem, Until you can see things clearly, the confusion will just continue.

Do not just plan on surviving, you can't let a breakup have that much control over your life. decide on thriving instead. Truly believe that your best times are still to come whether that's with your ex or someone new. Get up every morning thinking about all the great things that could happen today, and look forward to what tomorrow could bring.

Your life has not ended just because your relationship ended. No-one ever died from a relationship breaking up, I know they talk about dying from a broken heart, but it seems that there is no evidence for this, and even if there was, the person would be more likely to have died simply because they gave up living. So don't let that happen to you. Look forward to life going on and take a full part in it. Get out with friends and family and don't stop socialising, increasing your social life would be even better. Once you take on a more positive attitude, you will no longer battle with having to deal with the breakup.

Most good, cope with your breakup, advice tells us that breaking up is not easy, dealing with it is even harder, but you'll find it a lot easier if you adopt the right attitude. Most of the time we talk ourselves into some kind of depression after a breakup, but that's our own fault, we do that to ourselves. So it's up to you not to let the breakup keep you down.
