The "C" Factor For Success

Having someone of David Garfinkel's calibre teaching me the best practices of copywriting, I tend to listen.

So what's the "C-factor?"

Conversation.

When writing you are having a conversation with the reader.

Copywriting = Conversation.


That is the first step to building trust with people you have never met online.

Through your engaging conversations, you will subtly be persuading them to trust you and then take action when you indicate action should be taken.

But saying is not doing. Writing to someone as if you are talking to them face to face is easier said than done for most people.

That's why I jumped at the opportunity to learn from the best.

Actually, David never stops learning how to copywrite. He recommends we study writers in "the National Enquirer"

You may be surprised at this but think about it, people love gossip especially if it is shouted from the roof tops.

Now weren't those headlines enticing you to want to know more about the subject? The key he says, is to talk as if you are telling a close friend a really exciting secret.

Remember that Copywriting = Conversation

One thing David stresses is that you don't have to be unethical to do the job right. Actually, when you are in full integrity you will succeed better than if you're not.

Why?

Because you will be retaining your customers' trust over a long period of time and keeping customers translates into dollars.

Another thing, you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror and know that you are providing the best of value for your prospects without having resorted to hype tactics or unsound, unproven products.

That's why I  like the professional community I belong to now.  It's one geared to helping others become all they can be.
