Paphos is a coastal town and has for many years been a popular holiday destination with its lovely crystal clear sea and stunning views over the ocean. Paphos is considered very safe, with violent crime almost unheard of. The danger to tourists unfortunately comes from other tourists, who prey on their fellow travellers. An excellent place from which to hire water sports equipment, from wind surfers to small boats, scuba diving equipment to fishing tackle. Paphos is a booming town on the west coast of Cyprus renowned for wealthy tourism and the home of many ex-pats. It started life as two entities which have slowly but surely encroached on each other and become a complete town full of excellent restaurants and hotels serving both local and international holiday makers in a friendly atmosphere.

Summer temperatures peak in July and August, during which daytime temperatures in the mid-30s are not uncommon. June through to September is summer time in Paphos, where high temperatures are coupled with almost no rain. Summer brings guaranteed sunshine with the beautiful Mediterranean beaches that invite you to enjoy sunbathing, swimming and a variety of water sports. The winter is very short and temperature rarely falls below 16C, making the island eminently suitable for retirement / good investment rental return.
