Educational Qualifications 

In order to become a corporate flight attendant, you must hold at least a high school diploma. However, preferences are given to those with a college degree. Besides that, training in the following areas will definitely be a big plus.

What Is Expected Of The Flight Attendant? 

Some of the skills and qualities that a professional corporate flight attendant must possess include good manners, ability to think out of the box, attention to detail, constant professionalism, resolution skills, taking direction, interpersonal skills, integrity, personal accountability, creativity, organizational skills, flexibility, high degree of safety and service, and most importantly, respect and protect the security, confidentiality, and privacy of their elite passengers. You also need to be a team player, as you have to work in close co-operation with the flight deck crewmembers to assure conformity to the overall professional and congenial end product of service and the highest levels of safety of the passengers. A sense of commitment is thus the most important quality of a corporate flight attendant. You must also have the ability to anticipate before being requested. 

Roles And Responsibilities 

The primary responsibility of a corporate flight attendant is to ensure the safety of the passengers. Other responsibilities typically include table setting, napkin folding, plating and garnishing food, champagne presentation, galley and food safety, and interacting with the flight deck crewmembers to ensure safety. However, the responsibilities are not just limited to in-flight duties. A flight attendant has to perform pre-flight and boarding duties as well. The pre-flight duties may include acquiring information about the following: 

§   Should alcohol beverages be served? If yes, what brands? 

§   What different types of passengers like to eat? Ordering and receiving catering accordingly.

§   Will it be a good idea to greet female passengers with a bouquet of fresh flowers?

§   The type aircraft you will be working on

§   The upcoming flights

§   Where is the trip going?

§   Are some of the passengers on a special diet?

Keen observation coupled with anticipation of requirements is essential for success.
