Anti Ageing Wrinkle Creams Make you look 10 Years Younger

Cosmeceuticals. Have you heard about them?

You can have younger looking skin, but you don’t have to rob your piggy bank to pay for it. Confusion about anti aging skin care abounds. Select those products that make sense and don’t break the bank. There are some shocking prices and some of these products lack basic ingredients. Some charge whatever the traffic will bear. You must understand what ingredients are in a product before you plunk down your hard earned cash.

Especially these days with all the layoffs and hard times.

Most dermatologists believe that no anti aging products come in a jar. Perhaps that’s why they push Botox so hard.

One of the newer products is cosmeceuticals that are offered by some cosmetic companies. It’s a word that combines two words to make a new word. The words are “cosmetic” and “pharmaceutical”. Sort of a marriage between those two words. When you create a word like this it is called a portmanteau.

Examples of cosmeceuticals include moisturizers and anti aging creams.

Some of the active ingredients in cosmeceuticals are essential oils, enzymes, phyotochemicals, teas, herbs, soy, pomegranate, date, grape seed, Pycnogenol, horse chestnut, aloe, allantoin, comfrey, curcumin, German charmonille, antioxidants, and vitamins. These products are applied topically, on the outside of the skin, and come in lotions, ointments, and creams.

They are not classified as drugs by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and do not even acknowledge the word ‘cosmeceuticals”. The FDA says, “Food Drug, and Cosmetic Act defines drugs as those products that cure, treat, mitigate or prevent disease or that affect the structure or function of the human body. While drugs are subject to an intensive review and approval process by FDA, cosmetics are not approved by FDA prior to sale. If a product has drug properties, it must be approved as a drug”.

A haphazard approach is a waste of time. Preventing wrinkles takes a thoughtful approach and a scheduled maintenance, a regimen, because you have to allow time for the cosmetics to work. That is crucial. A conscientious daily ritual can only alleviate those wrinkles and lines. Do not just slap on your anti aging skin care products. Take some time to do it right. A little goes a long way. A little dab will do ya’.

When you take this approach your pores will not get plugged up.

Experiment a little and you will find that your skin will look younger, radiant, healthy, and take on a youthful glow with the right cosmeceuticals.

At 33 I should start taking this subject more seriously!
