Cosmopolitan Drinks

Cosmopolitans have always been popular mixed drinks. Any night in a bar someone will order a Cosmo drink. Cosmopolitans are basically vodka and cranberry juice cocktail.

Learn how to make your own Cosmo drink with the following Cosmopolitan drink recipes. And remember this tip- Cosmos should always be made with a citrus-flavored vodka.

Triple Cosmopolitan Drinks


Various Cosmopolitan Drink Recipes

Basic Cosmo Drink Recipe

1 ounce vodka

Cranberry juice cocktail

Pour 1 ounce vodka and cranberry juice cocktail over ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake til chilled. Serve on the rocks in a Highball glass.

Spiffed Up Cosmopolitan (This is the best Cosmopolitan Drink recipe, in my opinion.)

1/2 jigger lime juice

1 jigger vodka (Absolut Citron vodka is best)

1 jigger Triple Sec

1 jigger Cranberry Juice Cocktail

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the ingredients. Shake til very cold. Strain into chilled martini cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.

South Beach Cosmopolitan Drink Recipe (This drink recipe from Miami also tastes great)

3 oz. Absolut Citron or some other vodka

1 oz. Cranberry Juice Cocktail

1 oz. Chambord Raspberry Liqueur

Pour everything over ice. Shake or stir til chilled. Strain into a chilled martini cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime slice, if desired.

Make a Cosmopolitan Martini

Cosmopolitan Martini Recipe

1 ounce vodka

1/2 ounce Triple Sec orange liqueur or Cointreau

1/2 ounce cranberry juice

Juice from 1/2 lime

Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain and serve straight up into chilled martini cocktail glass.

Nice hub. Good info on cosmos. I think I'll try the cosmos martini, since it has Cointreau in it. I also love margueritas! And serve them to get the gang moving. I must be the last one to try a Cosmos-although they always looked good in Sex and the City. Thanks for the recipe!

Tried these for the first time on my 70th birthday at the Hyde Park Steakhouse in Sarasota, FL. I've just wasted YEARS!!! What a fantastic drink!!! They have a citris foam on top that so compliments the drink. Watched the girls drink them on Sex and the City. What was I waiting for?

i LOVE cosmos-but thats at the age of 67, i have only had wine and beer!

Best way to make them is going very light on the cranberry juice. A good ratio is 1/3 oz. cran., 1/3 oz. cointreau, 1 oz. vodka, juice from 1/2 lime. Tart and yummy and not so sweet. (I bet somebody has done it before but blueberry cran juice would probably be good too.) Cheers!
