Over the past few days, as I searched for counter stools, I discovered literally hundreds of websites devoted to the subject. Most had picture galleries which helped me decide on the look and type of stool I wanted, be it metal bar stools, wood bar stools, aluminum bar stools, wood metal combo barstools, commercial bar stools that doubled as kitchen counter stools, and even contemporary swivel barstools.

I found places where I could customize bar furniture by choosing fabric and metal finishes. There were dozens of online stores that shipped direct; some even gave the option to ship for free. There were discount bar stool centers offering designer stools at a fraction of the regular price, and others who reproduced antique or very expensive models making them affordable for my budget.

There were many international distributers and importers, for example: from the Philippines, Indonesia, morocco and Latin America, and many of the best companies used wood from government controlled forests so that the bar stools were as eco-friendly as possible.

As I made notes on my favorite models and manufacturers, I came up with a list of 10 counter stools I really liked. Then, the determining factor boiled down to: PRICE, and so I had to go back and find each counter stool and compare prices. Needless to say it has been a long process and I imagine there are many people doing something similar. Perhaps it is you. I have been overwhelmed these past few days in my quest for some ideal kitchen stools, and I have stumbled upon a plethora of websites with zillions of great pictures of every kind of stool imaginable, from wrought iron to rattan and almost every wood bar stool and swivel counter stool I could have dreamed of.

The problem is that, there are sooooo many outlets both national and international, and sooooo many models and styles of stools to choose from that I have nearly gotten lost. So as I did this research I have accumulated the information on what I’ve found out about bar stools, a counter stool or two, some swivel barstools, wood, metal and iron barstools and lots of kitchen stools and step stools, and I have shared them with all of you on my posts and blogs.
