Counting My Blessing
49In this race
Thank god, for this morning I was able to see the sun shine just before my run
I could look at it and my eyes wont hurt, perfect start overshadowing the sun
No clouds at all, and even if the rain started to fall I would stand up tall
As I ran across, I saw many closed doors, children playing down the hall
Little girls playing with their dolls, young brothers policking by the door
Mothers gone to sell her soul, father's story far from holy
Fact is, destiny is a force that figures out its own course
No one, truelly likes to be at lost, perhaps gazzeles and carrots
Which were created for that cost, to be consumed and counted on
Just like the lioness, sometime my light is off other times its on
For most its stays dim, limiting my sense of sight and what I can see
Still I thank god, that I could
