Courthouse Research Jobs

Sometimes people rule out court research home jobs because, well frankly, they are not traditional work at home jobs in the sense that you do in fact need to leave your home to conduct your research onsite at one or more courthouses in your area. They could be considered home jobs, however, if you consider that after you conduct your court-based research and gather any necessary data you need to create your reports for your employer, you can then go home to complete your reports based on the data you have compiled at the courthouse.

In other words, you don’t have to spend all day at the courthouse. Once your have obtained copies of all of the information and paperwork that you need, such as property deeds, for example, you have what you need to complete the rest of the work at home. So, if you don’t mind visiting some local courts in order to obtain the raw data you will need to write your reports, this might be a good position for you.

Travel Required

On the other hand, if you do not drive or if you are without a car at the moment and you therefore need a job that is a genuine work at home job as opposed to one that requires you to leave the house from time to time in order to drive to court, this may not be a great job for you.

On the plus side, court research home jobs tend to pay pretty well, especially as home jobs go, though there is some variability with pay, and you will want to research different companies to find the most competitive pay rates. Another plus is that these jobs do force you to get out and about. Sometimes home based workers can start to feel a bit lonely and isolated because they don’t have a lot of contact with other people during the course of the work day.

A Flexible Work Schedule

However, home based court researchers do get to have some contact with the staff persons at the courthouse and anyone else they might encounter when looking up the documents they need to look up at the courthouses. So if you are seeking a work from home job that provides at least a small social component, home based court research might be the right job for you.

The hours for court research home jobs tend to be somewhat flexible in the sense that while you do have to conduct your actual research during business hours, when the courthouses are actually open, you can often prepare the reports based on your research when it is convenient for you to do so, though there are sometimes deadlines involved. Of course, your employer will specify precisely when each completed project needs to be submitted.

Yes, I have heard good things about JBS as well. I know that the owner of that company posts frequently on some of the online message boards for work at home moms.
