Start Evolving around a basic idea
You probably have an idea of what you want your blog to be -- or maybe you don’t. If you don’t, now is a great time to start because it is almost essential that you know what your blog will cover before you choose a title for it. Begin by simply writing down the most general idea that your blog will be about. Begin with a word. If you can’t yet choose a single word, choose no more than a sentence.
Distinctive features
Now that you have that basic idea, let us move a bit closer to your title. What elements set your blog apart? Do you use video or a special format, perhaps question and answer? Think about those singular elements that distinguish your blog from the others that possibly cover the same topic, etc.
You’re probably starting to get a pretty good field to choose your title from now. Let’s keep working and see if you can come up not only with a great title for the blog that you have in mind, but a title that will allow you to grow. If you can choose a title that allows your blog to grow over time and still captures the essence of your blog then you’ll likely have less difficulty keeping in touch with your viewers. Any time you change your title or address, etc., there is the possibility of losing a viewer or two and you don’t want to lose a single one, so think about growth.
Explore all possibilities
Are you avoiding certain medium (graphic, video, audio, etc.) because of cost or some other reason? Go ahead and consider what your blog may look like after you have a number of viewers and possibly a limitless financial backing also consider what it may be like if your finances become limited. With these possibilities in consideration, does it seem that your blog’s title should be drastically different from what you had? If not then you’ve probably got a pretty solid and lasting title already. If the title would be different then go ahead and factor in these considerations.
Conclusion
Take a look at what you’ve got. It should be something that really describes the content you plan to present to viewers. It should hopefully be something that you can continue to use even when the changes of the future begin to reshape your blog. So, now you may want to try it out on a few of your closest friends or family. If it is well received, it’s probably time to post it. If worst comes to worst you can always start from scratch or at least with a new title.
