Craiglist Tiny Ads BIG PROFIT
62Craigslist Tiny Classified Ads = Big Profit!
It is estimated that the Classified Advertising Industry is $30 billion a year in the United States and $100 billion internationally. Craigslist is the leading classified ad site for people looking for jobs, freelance work, housing, goods, services, romance, local activities, advice - just about anything really. Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist discovered a niche market where a huge demand existed: The demand for "free" classified ads!Craigslist originally began as a hobby and was officially launched in 1995 and has grown rapidly ever since. Craigslist now serves approximately 30 million new classified ads each month throughout 450 cities worldwide. It has become a major online gathering place for local communities. It's a prime example of how the Internet brings people together, whether it's to trade goods, help neighbors or speak out on important issues. Craigslist does not formally disclose its' financials. However, analysts and commentators have reported varying figures for its annual revenue, ranging from $25 million in 2006, to $50 million in 2007 and an estimated $100 million for 2008. Craigslist owners have stayed true to their members since day one. They have listened to what their members want and they've delivered it. There is a old saying - "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" And, judging by the estimated numbers aboveit doesn't look as though Craigslist is broke!Share it! — Rate it: up down [flag this hub]
