But with craigslist the main part of using this website for dating is the personal ads that you are going to place and the ones that you are going to end up responding too. Here are some tips that you can follow when it comes to placing your own craigslist profile and when you respond to other people's profiles.

Tip one:

If you are going to be posting an ad in the "Missed Connections" sections you are going to want to be as specific as possible. You are going to want to make sure that you include where it happened, what time of day and if at all possible include what that other person was wearing. The reason for this is if you are not specific about what happened for your encounter you never know what kind of results you are going to get. You could end up with half a dozen responses from random people.

• One thing that you want to watch out for is responding to ads that have pictures of really hot women. Most of the time these ads are actually porn companies, also known as bots. These companies will respond to your emails for the first two times with some kind of generic responses, but then the emails will say something about how they have moved to a different place to chat and provide you with a new link.
