What does your body Crave?
66What are you craving for?
Another holiday weekend is upon us and I have to say it loud and strong...I am happy to be alive!
I walk the streets of NYC everyday. One of my favorite places to sit and chill is in Bryant Park (42 & 5th ave.) I love this park because it affords me to sit and watch people (a favorite thing for me). I look at what people are wearing, what they do and all the many languages I hear. I love it! One of the greatest things in the world is when all different types of people are all together in one area and everyone is at peace with each other. Bryant Park is one of those few rare places you can go in the city that is not overwhelming and very inspiring. I sit and write when I'm in the park. I watch people and I can't help wondering what their lives are like. I wonder what they crave in their lives.
What do they need to make their lives happier and more fulfiilled. Who are they and what do they crave for themselves. I see older people barely walking around and I wonder do they crave better health or are they content to just be out in the fresh air enjoying time in the park.
I watch couples holding hands, gazing into each others eyes, and I feel the sexual tension so strong in my gut, I wonder will their next stop be a room with a nice big bed as they are craving each others bodies...I see a cute guy on his cell talking loudly, arguing with his girlfriend, and I think, boy he probably craves some peace and understanding in his life right now.
I look over my should and fix my attention on a group of girls chatting about the hot new club and I already know what they crave...male attention!!! Walking by I see a family with two small kids and another inside a stroller, and I look at the mother weary and tired and I imagine she craves a getaway from the kids or possibly some help from the father of the kids.
I observe so many emotions swirling around me and I pray that whatever these people desire, yearn for or need, they get it and that their lives are enriched with love.
Whatever we crave, food, more sex, better sex, more communication, more money, a better, more in shape body, a job with benefits, a safer world to raise our families in, or whatever we crave in life I believe if we focus our attention on it long enough and put some effort into it, we will have it and once we get it, we'll share it and make the world a better place to sit and just be who ever we choose to be.

Yes, I agree with you and Amy Jane - people watching is sooo interesting! You just have to be careful that they don't think you're staring at them, it creeps them out. :)
I agree with your belief that if you focus on what you want and work towards it diligently, you WILL get it. Isn't the world a great place where you can have anything you want?
Enjoyed reading this hub, Cheryle. Looking forward to reading more of your writing.
