Office Word is a great productivity tool that allows you to perform a host of tasks as an Information Worker. What makes it even better is that it allows you to use some neat background tricks to get more out of your everyday word processing experience.

One such trick is the ability to generate random text in your document with a simple formula. Did he just say formula? Yes I did. Not to confuse this with Excel, but Word does allow the use of formulas to unleash some capabilities. This guide will provide you with the steps to generate the random text in Word. It will help you in tasks such as formatting text and test populating form fields. Here's how:

On a new line in a Word document, type =rand(PC,SC) then press ENTER

PC stands for paragraph count and SC stands for sentence count

You will now see the text appear on the page.

As an example, =rand(2,3) will create two paragraphs of three sentences each.
